Grief and Loss Support Check-in
February 3 ~ February 10 2025
Hello, lovely grief and loss support community! Welcome to our weekly check-in.
How are we all doing? I hope that the week is being gentle to you and you find time to take care of yourselves. Some days are harder than others, and sometimes they all just feel hard. Please know you are not alone in these moments, and to please reach out for support if you are struggling. There are listeners, my pms are open, forums, helplines, there is help and hope. I would love to hear updates on what you have been up to and how you are doing. Whatever you are feeling, it's welcomed and valid here. I wish you all an amazing week and year ahead. I am always here for you and you are not alone.<3

Hey pineapple, thanks for joining the checkin this week. Im sorry you have been at such a low point lately, that is never fun. Whats been going on? I am here to listen and support. Sometimes it can feel like we are so lost and have no direction to whats going on and we dont know how to fix it. That can be a very uncertain, scary and overwhelming place to be in. The storm has to cease at some point, we will make it though. Just one step at a time. I know its hard to be patient. Please update me on things. You dont have to walk through the storm alone <3
I'm doing okay.. I thought about my grief briefly today, as my Case Manager from work contacted me this afternoon.. Which I'm working on returning to work, doing a gradual return, meaning starting with 4hr shifts. Since my leave from work was due to grieving, I had been off work since mid-August 2024.
As we talked on the phone, bringing up my grief, I thought about it for a bit. But, I'm able to deal with it much better now. So, if my Manager accepts our proposal of days I want to work with the gradual return, then, I can start by Feb. 18th.
I would like to attend a concert by IU for Korean and JJ Lin for Mandarin.

Hey jae! thanks for joining our checkin this week, how are you feeling about going back to work. I hope your manager accepts your proposal. IM glad that with the time off you have found some ways to manage your grief, you are not alone. Here for you <3

To be honest, I'm feeling a little stressed about returning to work, and it's showing up as IBS symptoms, which is not fun at all.. And I'm hoping that upon my return, my colleagues will not bring up my grief.. as aside from my Grandma passing, there was another sudden passing of an Uncle from a stroke.. But luckily with this Uncle, it was 4.5 months after Grandma passed, so I was able to handle it much better.. and I'm not close to him or my cousins, so it didn't hit me as hard.. but attending this funeral was definitely a different type of emotional wave that came over me..
With returning to work, at one point last year, during my counselling sessions.. there was a time where I was preparing to want to resign.. but now the finalized decision is to stay, I'm not entirely looking forward to working again..
