Grief & Loss mean different things to all of us, what does it mean to you?

@lucy2

Grief, when there's a lot of love, with no place to deliver! ❤

Grief is loving someone deeply, that apart of you goes with them..yet allowing memories to help you heal

For me it's....grief is the overwhelming sense of loss that I feel unexpectedly.

@lucy2

It feels empty to me. Like there's this hole in the world and inside you, and nothing can fill it.

Hi @Cassiopeia25

Yes, I totally agree, but in time we need to find distractions that make that emptiness

easier to bear❤️

Grief to me starts out like a tsunami that tries to drown you but as time goes by the waves become less menacing but still they come. Then after a while it's like they guit coming as often and are more gentle, Yet, they still come then one day you find that you welcome the wave and start remembering the good things and times you shared with your loved one, instead of being washed away by the sadness. I hope this makes sense..

Grief is the feeling of knowing that you’ll never hear they’re laugh or see they’re smile again. Grief is knowing that you’ll never get held by them again. No more bed time stories or getting tucked in before you go to bed. Not smelling cigarette smoke as soon as I walk in your apartment. You’ll never understand the pain of you being gone. You left us. You can’t protect me anymore. I miss you more than you’ll ever know.🥹

It's like everyday is a party. You get your hair did, and go, try to enjoy your self. But right when your starting to have a good time,, you see Death in the corner. You don't really hate each other, you both have accepted that you know the same people, your bound to run into each other again.

And all you want is for Death to STAY at the party. .For it to not show up every day, or be able to go a few hours and not think about it.
