I feel like is dream that my dad is gone
I feel like it dream that my dad is gone went he passed away feel like I was so numb so depression that he not here anymore wish had time machine or remote like Adam Sandler movie called click wish have remote month or few year's back love see my dad again love to talk him again and if had time machine went going back 15 to 20 years ago have more time with my dad again and feel like seen he died I feel pause that moment went he died hard to believe that he not coming back again and wish have more time with he feel like robbed from see my dad again I never got said goodbye to my dad I hope he know that I love him and I miss him very much

I am so sorry you are deeply upset about loosing your dad! I lost my dad in 2002 and I would call to hear his voice on his phone message machine when I would sometimes forget and reach for the phone to tell dad something on my mind. I know my dad is looking down on us and is so proud. Your dad wants you to be happy and not morn his loss, but celebrate his life by rising up and finding joy. He wants the very best for you!!! you will always have this connection, but smile instead of cry more often and it will make him happy to see that you are happy. As time goes by the pain will lessen and you will find your path and when reminded of dad, you will smile and say something about dad. You are a very good writer and I think that was good therapy for you. Keep writing, it does wonderful things for our sanity.

@juliak1968 thanks you are right my dad want me be happy and not be sad celebrate his life he was amazed dad and wonderful grandpa he will alway be in my heart forever I am sad did not get said goodbye to my dad before he died so much want I want to said to him

I believe that your dad knows what your thinking and he gets it. Its good to have a talk outloud sometimes and just know that he hears you and the answers will be in your heart!

Hi I would love to read your other posts but i haven't learned how to do searches on 7cups. Do you know how? I will say to stay away from sad love songs; because it's a hard emotion to see through. We need motivated music so you don't get stuck like many of us have and some never overcame it quite yet because we need to first learn to get motivated and determined to have a good life and "get out of our own way" :-) I started with that saying 5 years ago and then got help because im a veteran, and i also got 2 great therapists for 4 years now that helped me (Along with my meds) I listened to the pros for once and use 7cups for years and met a lot of friendly people here. I have listeners who are near to my heart and every once in a while I nominate them for something nice.
I'm proud of you for all you are doing!!
As far as songs go, try writing about our mental health struggles. Tag me once in a while so I don't loose touch. And next time I will share one of my mental health poems with you.

@juliak1968 thanks I trying to happy if know so sad that my dad not here anymore he miss out on so many things next week be 9 months he being gone seem like yesterday he was here and cry alot less then did back in November he will alway be in my heart 4ever my therapist be on 7cup that help me alot

i know your pain is still so very deep and hard to manage. Keep putting one foot in front of the other and reaching out for support. I promise it does get easier. I just don’t know when that will be because it’s different for everyone.
what is one way you can feel closer to your dad or one way that you can celebrate his life?
@Kristynsmama thank one way celebrate him by make sure my nephew and my niece doing good and take care of my health I have same illness as my dad had and try make my dad proud of me and do best I can he will always be in my heart 4ever and just watch out for my family and be rock in my family I will never take my dad spot but being best person I can be for myself and my family
@Kristynsmama I feel closer to my dad by have diabetes like him know how he feels went going outside feel like dad watch over me know being ok he raise me good person and caring person I alway feel close to my dad by nature he love fish and garden hope one day grow some garden for my dad and he love his family stand in being main person in my niece and my nephew life as there aunt and he will alway be in my heart 4ever

Hi, Your dad is super proud of you and in the mature way you are dealing with grieving and trying to be a great person. Remember! Your dad loves you just the way you are, so don't put too much pressure or stress on yourself. Take the best care of the person in the mirror!! I've read all of your posts and I am so proud of you too!! I hope you are having a great day - always remember to smile and look up! He is always with you watching over too protect you and love you.
