Lost my mum
I lost my mum about 4 months ago. She had a sudden cardiac arrest, but she had no history of heart disease. I had spoken to her on the phone around three hours before she passed.
It has all felt like a strange nightmare that I can’t seem to get out of. She was a good human being and only 53, she deserved to enjoy her life more.
It feels unfair and makes me upset and angry. It also has taken away all my motivation to think or plan about the future. I don’t like this feeling, but I also don’t know what to do to feel better.
@Bee2345 sorry for your loss 🥺 losing your mom… that must be devastating and I hear you about how unfair it feels with all the suddenness… yes she deserved to have lived more and enjoyed more… spent more time with you and for you to be able to call her more … and it’s ok to feel hurt or angry or how you feel rn … not knowing what to do to feel better…
you don’t need to try or focus on feeling better rn if that feels too much 💕 you are grieving the loss of your mother… it’s heartbreaking and all kinds of terrible… you deserve some gentleness 🥺
vv proud of you for sharing in 7 cups … supporting you virtually 🫂🫂
@Optimisticempath thank you so much! It truly means a lot! I feel stuck between never wanting to move on from this loss, and wanting to never think about it again. Maybe it’s normal?
I really appreciate the support ♥️♥️
@Bee2345 it’s vv normal 🥺 it’s painful to lose a love one and feeling stuck between not wanting to think of all of it and relive that pain and not forgetting it at all because maybe that could mean that it’s all better? is vv normal and valid I think… you don’t want to relive the pain but you also realise that this pain is only your love for your mother… and it’s painful because you can’t see or hear her anymore .. but you know? they say that our love ones… specially parents … loving ones… they never truly leave us… you will continue to live through and you’ll carry parts of your mother with you… maybe the way you look… could be the colour or your hair… the sound of laughter .. anything of sorts because people we’ve been so close with leave parts of themself in us and their footprints in our heart or maybe the values she instilled in you… whenever you want to feel closer to her… remember she’s within your heart somewhere present always 💕💕
whatever you want to believe in… whatever gives you hope… whatever little makes you feel hopeful about carrying yourself forward in life… hold onto that ok 💕 you are doing so much better than you think and even if not.. it’s ok… you’re grieving and part of you might always grieve… but that’s the best part about having someone so dear to us.. they live in our memories … always🤗🤗
@Bee2345
my condolences to u. i can't even imagine how strange yet traumatic it must feel having someone u love pass away just like tht.
if u believe in the spiritual world, just know that she's in a better place watching over u with pride. and even if u dont; time will heal. talk to someone ur close to like ur friends or other family members.
grief is one of the most emotionally damaging experiences in life. but i feel u, and i sense that u are a very strong individual. just know that ur not alone and ur grief is shared with me and the people who read this so keep on sharing ur story! all the best for ur future hope u heal ♥️
