My daughter passed away unexpectedly a few days ago. Has anyone else encountered this or a similar experience?

Oh dear. I lost my daughter not too long ago, and I can say firsthand, it's one of the toughest things anyone can go through. Since I'm a listener here, you are free to reach out whenever you need someone who can empathize with what you're going through. I'm so sorry that you're facing this

Hey Jar. I can't say I know what you're feeling or going through. I have experienced loss but I have never had any children to lose. I know that it can be painful, shocking, and you are probably feeling all sorts of feelings. I hope you're not alone during this time. Let us know how the community can support you during this hard time.

Hi Jar.  My name is Kristy and I am the community mentor leader here on the grief and loss forum.  I am so very sorry about your daughter.  I lost my almost 2 year old daughter many years ago.  And I can tell you it was the most challenging and life changing experience I have ever had in my life.  I still grieve for her and miss her almost 18 years later.  But my heart has healed over time.  If I had one suggestion in the early days of grief it is to be gentle with yourself and honor whatever feelings or lack of feelings that you have right now.  I was completely numb for almost a year so that can happen too.

please feel free to reach out to me if you want to chat.  My heart is with you.

Do you want to share more about your daughter?  We are all here to listen if you want to share.
