Grieving during holidays!
Hi everyone! Holidays can be challenging for people who are grieving. Remember, there's no right way to grieve here.
- Feel your feelings. Sharing with supportive loved ones can ease the burden.
- Consider new rituals that honor your loved one and bring comfort. A shared meal, a story, a visit to their favorite place – find solace in connecting with their memory.
- Boundaries: It's okay to say no. Prioritize your well-being. Take breaks, say no to overwhelming events, and seek quiet time for your soul.
- Reach out: You're not alone. Talk to friends, family, or a grief counselor. Sharing your experience can bring comfort and understanding.
- Be kind to yourself: During this challenging time, prioritize self-care. Nurture your body and mind with healthy activities. Remember, compassion is your companion.
How are you supporting yourself this holiday season?
@Hope hello ❤ I had a rough time yesterday. I really just wanted my son here, and I needed to cry out some anger and blame and stuff. But I had a good night sleep and feel better now ❤ I have got my son a rugby shirt and rugby ball for xmas, he's 12 years old so I hope he likes them. My carers put a cross for him under the willow tree in the garden, and the gardener made a special chest under the tree for me to put his presents, and poems and things I make for him.they are safe with him there ❤I try very hard to keep his memory alive 🙂
@Tinywhisper11 I will keep you in my prayers. ♡
