Need some support achieving your wellness huddle goal?

It could be ieas for breaking down your goal into a smaller step, ideas for reducing a barrier, help with figuring out the SMART structure for your goal or you need some extra encouragement after a setback, etc!

We can then offer the support you're seeking.

This is a supplement to the group chat - sometimes a slower pace allows for new ideas to pop up, and it sticks around for all timezones.

I was going to set up a pen & paper chart today to use in my basement for PT exercises. With PT tonight though, I'm going to wait so I don't have to chat before I even use it!

I want to be accountable that I actually set it up fairly soon so I can do all the different exercises more consistently - I know thd past couple weeks a few of the exercises weren't include frequently enough. I can't get through them all every set but I should get through all of them in a week.

So end of the day tomorrow I want the chart set up!

Today has been a strange one for me. I started with a doctor's appointment -- one I have been looking forward to. Enough so that I didn't sleep well. I am starting the process to get back on my hormones and I am sooo excited!

When I got home, I ate some food and took a nap because I was tired. When I got up again, I got distracted and started organizing some files on an external hard drive. Just as the shame was setting in about not doing what I needed to do, I stumbled on some pictures and videos from the last 5 years or so.

I saw my kids. I saw me the way I used to be. I saw my past pets.

It all made me sad. I miss being with my kids and cats every day. I also feel disappointment for the boy I used to pretend to be. I even found a picture of me as I was starting to transition, and I felt envious of the joy she felt!

I hate nostalgia.

Getting my hormones back is a big deal, and I am the one that started that process! But at the same time, I feel paralyzed because I'm remembering how easy things seemed to be back then. I miss those moments. I'm tired and I'm lonely, and I just --

At this moment, I want things to be back the way they were. Sure I was miserable, and I hated being in a household with my ex; however, I also miss all of those things that made that time so brilliant!

@HappySpecter

Nostalgia is often quite tinted rose-coloured! I know what you you mean about wanting to go back.

It's not an option though.

You have good things to look forward to!

It's ok to grieve the past. It means you have some good memories. Some of what was good can also help guide our decisions today, help figure out what we do want to include now.

I do, you're right! I've been building my life back up from almost nothing, and I know better days are ahead. Sometimes, my brain likes to come up with a bunch of "what ifs" and that never turns out well.

Being away from your kids is tough! I wish there was some thing I could do to just magically fix it all, but I know that's not how it works.

Thank you for sharing! I'm here for you too 🤟

@FallenStarss You're not a bother!

I'm doing alright besides missing the outdoors. Even my husband who doesn't have all the allergies is just doing the bare minimum outdoors.

What's going on for you?

@AffyAvo

it’s been sooooo hot lately! Sorry to hear your allergies have been rough and not able to go outside like you like to.

Been having tough time here with anxiety and depression and having flashbacks and just overworking. Been taking a toll on mental heath, feel very close to relapsing. Wish I wasn’t like this. Need to get it together, it’s just been so hard

@FallenStarss It’s ok to reach out for help 💙

I'm so the anxiety and depression has been so high lately. Are there any healthy activities or distractions that help get you out of the flashbacks and allow you to rest? I hope you can find some peace soon!

@stormieandpaws

Sorry you've been affected by the heat! The weather is making it difficult to spend time outside here, but at least I'm ok inside.

Can you make some good, healthy foods that are nice to eat in the heat?

Some things I've done for hot days - blend fruit, freeze and then partially thawing in the microwave so it's like a sorbet. Little effort - frozen berries (blueberries and haskaps especially). Cold pasta salad with veggies. Poke bowl. Popsicles made from herbal tea and fruit.

The low time will pass, hang in there and do what you can to make things a but better 💙

thank you got sick due to heat again but  atlest did not pass out this time

i end up with 2 big bags of freeze strawberries  like 3lb each so been making kinda like a slush with them adding protein  powder to that also found a Aldi  protein  pudding already made also got a watermelon  i been also doing  things in the intentpot that helps a lot did BBQ  pork ribs other day  been drinking pop i normally do not but when hot like this i have to keep blood sugar from going to low so  that can help when i not feel like eating

thinking about making some pasta in the intentpot then adding the shrimp  i got at food bank so be like tuna fish pasta salad but with no tuna in it think that would be good

@stormieandpaws I really struggle when it's smoky. All the rain here has at least kept that away most days.

Hopefully clear cooler air is coming your way soon!

@stormieandpaws Yeah, thd air quality got bad here today. I was hoping with all the rain it would be ok here, but it's from the territories. Hopefully the winds will shift!

Despite being at the most extreme (10+) on the AQHI scale visually it just looks overcast, not orange right now so I'm hoping it doesn't hang around!

Hoping for clean air for both of us!
