Wellness Accountability Huddles: Week 4 Monday Kickoff Questions (April 13)

Welcome to Week 4! Our theme is Managing Setbacks. Think through these questions as we kick off the week:

1. On a scale of 1-10, how ready are you to tackle your week?

2. What's one thing you can do this week to consciously move the needle on your goal?  (ex. a step, an act, a mindset, an affirmation)

3. Reflect on a recent setback or challenge that you've experienced in your goal-setting process. Notice any emotions or thoughts that arise as you bring this experience to mind. Next, ask yourself: "What's the opportunity in this setback?" or "How can I turn this setback into a positive learning experience?" Think of some action steps that you can take and share them in the thread to inspire ideas and support one another!

🎉 Also, everyone, wish our fellow Huddler @Hotaru419 a happy birthday this Sunday!

  • Remember that the Huddle room is open 2/47 and runs asynchronously. Be sure to check into the Huddle room at least 3 days a week to share progress updates, and make an effort to interact with each other, and rock that group accountability!

  • The Huddle structure is primarily asynchronous support in chat, but we can have as many "live" sessions as we'd like. I'm looking for volunteers to bring more live sessions to our Huddle! Any days and times, whatever is convenient for you! PM me for the details!

7, medical testing today was slightly frustrating but overall I think I'm ok for the week.

2. What's one thing you can do this week to consciously move the needle on your goal? (ex. a step, an act, a mindset, an affirmation)

I'm hoping I'll feel up to going for a walk outside later. The weather is nice today but snow is in the forecast.

3. Reflect on a recent setback or challenge that you've experienced in your goal-setting process. Notice any emotions or thoughts that arise as you bring this experience to mind. Next, ask yourself:

Recently - just my routine being thrown off plus fatigue. Sometimes it can be hard to get back into it. I remind myself it's ok to have breaks (holidays are often breaks to so much more than work) and even just trying to ease back in (I'm tired I'll do only 2 exercises...) often has me feeling up to doing more once there. And if not? I did something.

It was raining yesterday so I tried to get out before the rain/snow today and cut my walk a bit short due to sleet. It was a good 30+ min walk though, besides the 5 minutes or so of having sleet blowing into my face.

about a 5 after the stuff that happened over the weekend

2. What's one thing you can do this week to consciously move the needle on your goal?  (ex. a step, an act, a mindset, an affirmation)

let the home aid help more with cooking especially  with cutting up stuff and well that a hard thing for us we still have  a hard time asking for help we was raised to never ask for help and not expected others to help us  this still a issue  at times with us

3. Reflect on a recent setback or challenge that you've experienced in your goal-setting process. Notice any emotions or thoughts that arise as you bring this experience to mind. the challenge over weekend with the big issue with cell phone and the ads popping up that would not even allow us to get into settings and use them to help

after we kinda freaked out went online and to our cell phone provider  we talked there lady helped us to reset to factory-installment  with just side keys on phone

not sure what all the feelings were as not that good at labeling them am still trying to learn that

but was way confuse  at one point  the lady was very understanding and found another way to say how to do it

what we learned in a positive  thing was we learned anew way to reset the cell phone we overcame the issue in the end

even today found away to get a hold of dad by calling his home phone so now have his number in cell phone

Ive recently been working on trying to dismantle my all or nothing mindset, the biggest challenge ive faced while trying to acheieve my goals has been, losing motivation or giving up when things dont go perfectly. So this week i really want to channel the idea that it is never too late and things dont have to be perfect
