Discussion Banner Update
As many of you have already noticed, the requirements and access to the 'Start Discussion' banner have changed.
Who will now have access to the discussion banner?
Roles:
- Peer Support
- Group Mod
- Chatroom Mentor
- Teen Star
- Teen Chatroom Mentor
- Support Session Leader
*Important*
If you know you currently hold one of the roles above but do not have access to the banner currently, do not panic. Because we are currently working through making sure the right badges are linked to the right title in SC leader boards, you may be missing the banner access. If you go to lead a scheduled discussion this weekend (January 26th-January 28th) and cannot update the banner, simply announce your discussion in the room and proceed with your scheduled agenda.

Thank you for clarifying this! Will all Teen Star tracks be included in having access to the discussion banner in listener rooms? Also, if someone is a global mod, will they be able to access all of the sub-community (and non sub-community) linked rooms' discussion banners?

That is a great question Emily!

If all Teen Star tracks are included, all Mentor tracks should be included as well since they are equivilant roles. Since Peer Supporters are able to access the discussion banner, though, and it is a requirement for applying to become a Teen Star or Mentor, then I think all tracks are included.

Also if they are on the team as well like for exaple a Team Member should they be able to access the discussion banner as well? @Kate

Thank you for this much needed update! I do have a question - can Support Team Leaders also have access to the banners? Because we may be leading discussions also, but we're listed differently on the SC leaderboard.

As support team leader you have group mod abilities, which means you will still have the start discussion button 
@InspiringLee I am a global mod & a chatroom teen star, but I have discussion banner abilities in member/guest rooms but not listener rooms...

Right now I think everyone is having troubles with the start discussion banner in L rooms, it should be fixed soon!

Thank you Kate!! This has been such a long time coming, and will hopefully solve the inappropriate banner use (as well as making it so much easier to check the discussion stats for our teams!)
I'm so happy with this update! c: This is so fab! Seeing the inappropriate usage of the banner is so unpleasing to the eyes when checking the discussions held and hope that this will get solved with this new update!
