Newsletter for mods
So just a thought, as we all know there are a certain types of trolls which keep coming back and there are times that a mod may take a break or just have been too busy so they would not know the regular trolls ,so maybe sending a periodic newsletter uprising the mods about the trolls who have been making the rounds amongst other things so they can stay updated and are ready if they have to encounter any difficulty in any of the rooms .any thoughts ?
Aye, I do not see a drawback in that. Would be good to have someone organizing all this as well. Interns will be receiving monthly newletters and I think the same should happen with the moderation staff.
"Let's not over-complicate this" I feel would be mentioned, but I am sure we would have volunteers readily available to provide such content.
I see the positive aspects of a monthly newsleter.
I would like to update other Moderators and Listeners about different trolling issues or alert others to a particular red flags that we encounter in the chatrooms.
Maybe there can be a select few writers? Like volunteers that form a moderatingjournalism group? Special badges?

I could also help with this idea. I think it is important. The super active mods know what the community is like and the function of each room. If this is approved, I would be on board to provide content.

I can talk to Heather about this. Right now, we've been updating the group mod manual every so often based on previous experiences and things we've observed so that's how newer moderators stay updated on things.Although, I have a few questions before I talk to her about it.
What would the newsletter consist of?
How frequent would the newsletter be sent out?
