Group Support Chat Rooms: A Collaborative Effort!

I am loving the support and teamwork in the Sharing Circle, Support Room, and Community Room lately. Thank you to everyone who made it possible with their contributions.

I was in rooms lately and I am glad to see how everyone is so welcoming and supportive of each other. Especially Sharing Circle.

The other day, I was attending a Sharing Circle session where a new member offered to host the session. A bunch of members joined the queue to share their thoughts, emotions, and experiences they experienced, and a handful of participants listened, acknowledged, supported, and cheered each other on. It was a beautiful experience. That is the true embodiment of a community collaborative effort. Thank you to all for creating such a therapeutic environment.

But still, we have a long way to go. We still have many more hands to join, still have many members to connect and support. And, all this could happen with collaborative efforts and support.

Group Support Chat rooms are the only space where you can connect with others in a live space and share how you are feeling. As the name suggests, it is group support i.e. supporting each other in a group.

It is beautiful to watch members listening, validating, and supporting other members and see listeners acknowledging and encouraging members to share their experiences.

However, there are many members who still didn’t experience this beautiful moment. I believe some didn’t join the chat rooms yet and some I believe left due to some awful experiences in the past.

But, I would like to say to them, progress is not linear. Not every step will be a beautiful experience. But, it shouldn’t stop you from achieving what you are here for-- Getting Support!

We all are here with you to listen and support while you get through the challenges and struggles you are experiencing. We are with you to celebrate your winning moments and share the stress of bad moments. This is the group. It is the community. It is us!

Let’s make it a community collaborative participation and achieve the support for each other. Join us to seek support, provide support.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to comment below! Red heart

@ASilentObserver

Thanks for the significant reflection and reminder, Obs. 🌟 I believe group chat support is a great way to offer a safe and supportive space for the community. To date, many listeners and members have benefitted via Sharing Circle, Small Steps towards Healthy Habits, guided & pop-up discussions. Nonetheless, there is always a room for improvement.

I think one way we can promote community members is by providing good balance of topics: serious and fun elements. Apart from sharing experience, we can provide mental health awareness topics for guided discussions as well as fun quizzes and trivia. We can do either a poll/survey to gauge the needs and wants of the community so we can cater to all (hopefully) 😄 In order to make this a success, we definitely need teamwork and support from one another. ❤️

@pamharley003 It is similar to other rooms. Just the difference, it is queue based. And, we listen, acknowledge and support them while they share. If they want uninterrupted share, we share our supportive comments once they finished sharing. And keep the supportive comments short so could be easily read and all comments are covered.

As for me, some days I see what you see! Some times the magic really happens and I am only grateful that you had the chance to step into a room and see it happen in front of your very own eyes. Magical moments do happen around here, those are the moments that I cling to tightly and those end up being some of my gratitude moments and the things that keep me coming back to 7 cups and try to keep helping, even at times in the face of adversity. The LSR worked so very well yesterday when I was there. I wish you could have seen that also. I went in there twice yesterday. It was amazing, you would have been so very proud of the team work effort.

Dear Obs,

Thank you for this.

Also, your quote at the last reinforces my idea to create a forum thread about creating our own motivational quotes as a powerful reminder to ourselves and to inspire others. Thanks a lot!

Have a great weekend to us all, God bless!

I am loving helping others, I know how it feels having no one to turn to when you're sad, Happy, depressed, stressed, addiction problem, and anxiety.

So if I'm able to help someone and be there to Listen to them and being able to help them work through their problems.

7 cups of tea is a great family and friends to be part of.

Family & friends we've got to be there for each other and stand by each other's sides.

Each day we grow stronger and stronger together.

When one is hurting we all feel their pain even though we haven't walk a day in Their shoes.

Listening to their stories about their lives as they talk try to picture yourself as it was you that went through everything they described.

We all need to stand up for each other and hold each other's hands through their problems and pick them up when fall .

We all need a shoulder to lean,

We all need someone to bent to,

We all need to have family & friends as good as 7 cups of tea .

Thank you to everyone that's apart of 7 cups of tea .

You're a Lifesaver and to some of us actually never had a family gets a chance to know how it feels to have family .

Thank you all.
