Relaunch of Teen Sharing Circles!
We have been busy getting things in place and now very pleased to announce the return of Teen Sharing Circles!
It’s been quite a while since teens have had regular sharing circles and we know how much adults benefit from the space to vent and seek support without questions and advice so we are relaunching the teen circles!
What’s new? Teen Circles will have a slightly revamped script which is a blend between Sharing Circles and Healthy Habits and teens will get 10 mins each to share. To begin with, the room will only be open when we have a volunteer host.
Introducing our 2 new Project Agents for Teen Circles:
@MagnificentSunrise and @SirenofSerenity
Both Sunrise and Siren are Adult/Teen listeners and experienced in hosting and highly passionate and enthusiastic about Sharing Circles on both sides. They will be the main point of contact for teen hosts and if you have any questions, you can pop them a message :)
To make these circles happen, we need some volunteers to facilitate just one hour a week. If you are a teen member or teen listener or an ATL, you can apply HERE to join our team! We will award you 100 cheers per session that you host as a thank you!
Criteria to become a teen host:
Attend at least 3 Sharing Circles
Can commit to one (or more) 1 hour slots per week for the next 4 weeks
A willingness to support others
What will happen after you apply? If you fill in the application form, one of our Project Agents, Sunrise or Siren will contact you and send you a link to complete the training quiz which should help show you step by step how to host a session. Please fill out the quiz yourself and if you have any questions, you can ask the Project Agents. Then the Project Agents will discuss with you a time slot that suits you!

i think this is a really good idea but honestly 10 minutes will be too long in my opinion. only 6 people could share in a regular hour sharing circle which i don’t think is super practical. i think 7 minutes was good :’) unless it wasn’t busy and then people could usually share more

Some members don't allow listeners to message them, if they did not chat in PMs before. That is very understandable. But it makes it impossible for us to reach out to you in response to signing up to host.
