@Ishocan As a member of the LGBTQ+ Support Team, and even as a Group Mod for the room who understands that yes, it can be difficult to moderate at times, LGBTQ+ Support is not one of those rooms where it needs to be shut down (except for discussions) due to not having enough Mods. The people within LGBTQ+ Support are some of the nicest I have ever met and seen around in the community.

I absolutely protest, this room has really helped me when I've felt completely secluded from LGBTQ groups in my
community due to lack there-of and also mental health issues making it difficult to make those connections too.
This room has helped remove alot of shame for me.
Please keep it open!!!
I am against any of the rooms being closed they are a safe haven for a lot of members on here and i think its going to cause a lot of distress.
Hi. I'm a regular in this room, and it's really my main outlet for social interaction. I understand that if LGBTQ+/MOGII support goes away, we'll still have the community room, but I think that there are some real benefits to having both.
Often, there's a narrow discussion dominating the room, and people who don't feel like they can participate will go to the other. For instance, once there were a few people in the room speaking Arabic. They seemed really glad to have found other people who understood the issues of LGBTQ people in their cultural context, and I wanted to leave them alone. So I, and a lot of the other English speakers, went to the Community room instead, and everyone got what they needed. Likewise, sometimes an argument breaks out in the support room and people who don't feel comfortable hang out in Community for a while.
Having a "support" room makes people feel more confident about talking about personal issues. LGBTQ issues in particular can be awkward and uncomfortable to speak up about, and having a room explicitly for support makes people feel more as if they're allowed to talk about them. In a "community" room, by contrast, it feels more like a place for a hang-out session, not somewhere where people can go for emotional support.
I would really recommend reconsidering the decision to close the LGBTQ+/MOGII Supprt room

I agree that the LGBTQ+/MOGII Support Room should remain open. All members deserve to be able to have the availability for support without feeling the need to go to the general chatroom. While 1-1's are here for a reason and benefical, support from our peers in the chatrooms is incredibly important.

@Ishocan Agree agree agree. These rooms should stay open because people in these communities deserve support 24/7. Mental health does not deteriorate on a set schedule. 7cups is acting like as if we can hold off our emotions for when the room opens occasionally. There is no point for us to visit a website that is not available when we need it most.
