Check-in Questions

  • On a scale of 1-10, how would you describe your experiences in the chatrooms in the past week? I think I feel about an 8.
  • What do you like most about the group support chatrooms? That people really care and support each other in the moderated discussions. People flock to that energy.
  • If you can change one thing in the chatrooms to make it better, what will it be? That people spend time also finding ways to explore that might take them out of the suffering they are facing, rather than spending the whole time venting. Mixing questions that stress the positive can really help.

I would say a 10. The vibe and balance has been good. Felt super supported, as usual, in any groups that I hosted.

  • What do you like most about the group support chatrooms?

Watching people share for the first time and watching other members rally around the new member with validation and support.

  • If you can change one thing in the chatrooms to make it better, what will it be?

I'm glad you asked, there's one thing I've wanted to reach out about regarding this question. I'm attaching a link for a really simple but really important forum post I stumbled across that is about how to be an effective member of a group support room. It's a tiny bit dated and can be cleaned up but I feel it's vital info for every person to have and read before entering a chat room. Or if that isn't possible, attaching the link before, during and after group chats with a suggestion to everyone to read and save the link. Anyway to get this out to more people would pay off in a big way I think. I'm bewildered how this isn't included in guidelines somewhere already. I'd love to hear what other people think.

Great to know you had a supportive and fun experience in the group chatrooms, Mindful 😊

Glad you brought this awesome post up ❤ @MindfulListener82 !

I've seen this post popping up as a "tip" in the group chatrooms , but I don't think many people pause to open these threads or check the information in these tips ( unfortunately ) , could be great for a regular reminder of this one though, I agree ! 👌🏼
