Who is ready for 2021?
Hi,
We're in the last month of the year 2020. I think we're all about ready to bid farewell to 2020 and welcome 2021 on a positive note. But, before that, I like us to do a quick reflection and check-in together.
Please share your reflections on how you see 2020 and what are you looking forward to in 2021? Also, what is one wish you have for 7Cups in 2021?
I'll go first!
Undoubtedly 2020 was a challenging year for all of us. It wasn't easy for anyone. But when I see 2020, I believe it reminded us to appreciate everything we have. It reminded us a little support goes a long way. Every day, we supported and encouraged each other regardless of the roles and goals we have. It was beautiful. It reminded us that how everyone is a courageous soul and positivity helps us keep going.
In 2021, I hope we all progress and grow together. And, for 7Cups, I wish we could become better and stronger to provide all support across the platform collectively.

I've always said that change begins when we lead it, so as a community, we have lots of great leaders and volunteers, as well as members who have led support and awareness.
In 2021, I would like to see everyone knowing that they are a representative and an important leader (even without a leadership role), and so they are welcome to raise a voice, continue offering support etc.
I'm very excited for more time to address collective challenges, more creativity and most importantly, more change and support.
2020 has been a very hard year for myself and many many others. I am grateful for this platform and to be able to help people struggling by providing a listening ear. I didnt realize the impact helping other people could have on myself. In 2021 I hope to improve as a listener and grow more with the 7 cups community.
We all can agree that 2020 was not the year that it was said to be. But overall I think It was a decent year. I adopted my daughter, got out of an abusive relationship met the man of my dreams came to know christ and most imortantly survived. Yes, I am ready for 2021 but have to remeber that we dont truly know whats ahead to come. I never thought that I was a "people person" untill we got locked down and couldn't see anyone. I have learned to appreciate poeple and life in general. While I am happy that we got quarentined I was not happy to catch the Corona Virus and pass it to my children. Everything was extremely diffcult this year and I appreciate having a challange to face in everyday life.
HERES TO 2021!!!

2020 has indeed been a toough year. Pausing in this moment in time, I can't help but think of the 1.47 million people who were here this time last year, but who are no longer with us, taken by COVID 19. Suffering can bring out the worst in us but it can also bring out what is best in us: courage, compassion, kindness, gratitude. As I take a moment to remember those who have died, I also remember those who cared for them. I remember people making music outside windows to ease the loneliness of those isoltaed within and making noise to thank frront-line workers. People taking food to those who had none. People sharing while others hoarded. 202o taught us that we are both fragile and storng, that we can stop destroying our planet, that the elderly must be cared for and protected,
My wish for 2021 is that the vaccines work as promised and are shared with every country. That we remember the lessons learned and build a better world. My wish for 7cups is that it remains a safe place where all voices are heard and all ideas listened to. That it continues to grow and meet the diverse needs of those who come here seeking.
Wishing us all peace, and passing the mic on to you.
2020 was one very tough year, but it had good times too. If it weren't for 2020, I wouldn't be a listener today! Many things happened this year, a lot of them were personal too, but here we are, the end of 2020.
I wanna say something like, "2021 will be a great year", but for all we know, 2020 could have just been the tutorial level xD. Anyway, I have lots of goals for 2021, first and foremost, to get a girlfriend. Lol
As far as 7 Cups goes, I expect, and hope, it keep growing, and becomes a place that everyone knows about.

(ha, most of you won't understand what "shine" means)
For me, the year 2020 was very changeable. The worst thing that happened was that the funeral of my godmother, whom I loved as my mom, was a few days ago. I found the 7 cups in this year, for which I am very grateful,. This side a lot taught everything to me. Primarily onto perseverance, and that way, how I shall believe in myself. I got the hang of superb teachings and wonderful people here. I was a fantastic team's member. I think, the 7 cups were my second families. They made my association, which deals with the victim protection, official recently. I can apply the communication learned in the 7 cups in my privacy. I learned for what I am very grateful very much here at the 7 cups.
Onto the 2021 year I have a specific aim here in the 7 cups already, and I try to accomplish it. Trust in him, that I can be the useful member of the 7 cups then.

@ASilentObserver 2020 was a transformative year for me personally by my choice and those changes went very well. Covid actually led to my perfect work life and I gained 3 hours a day from staying home. In 2021, I'd like 7 Cups to get better at filtering or catching scammers and inappropriate people.
Hey guys!
2020 was really challenging, for all of us. For me it was challenging in the way that i had finally gotten over my social anxiety and fear of going out, i finally broke free but just a few months later had to lockdown again😅 but i'm going strong, and i've started to go out for walks and regain my confidence now.
In a way, i am grateful for 2020. I mourn those we lost, i hope they are in a better place and my thoughts and prayers and love are with their family and friends. But born of these trials, came love, compassion and community. We started to look out for eachother. Kind folk would go grocery shopping for their elderly or vulnerable neighbours. My sewing class banded together to make reusable masks for care homes. Others donated their handmade masks to the hospitals.
We realised the things that we took for granted before. Gathering with family members. Going shopping. Meeting with friends. These are what mattered the most but we were too busy doing important things.
It's woken us up as a community. And i hope that after this is all over, in 2021 and the years to come, we'll still be connected like before. Let's not be brought together only by tragedy ❤

thank you so much to the beautiful @PrettyPapillon4354 for the tag, and for your beautiful message!
2020 has been a bit of a trash fire, but even with all of the negative things, there have been a few positives to come out of it! i'm grateful for the kindness that people have found in themselves and in others as we all try to make the best of an awful situation just as much as i'm sad that people have found hatred in their hearts and are letting their cruelty be fueled by everything else that's going on in 2020. for 2021 i hope we remember the unity we're discovering in 2020 and start letting go of the hatred
