**Today I got up early and got my cardio & resistance in and took part in both AQUA ZUMBA & AQUA AEROBICS for 45 Minutes each class... Since today's weather is also "Summer-like", I will take my Pup for a walk outside for a bit this afternoon.
@PoliteOcean
Woke up and meditated, showered and did skin care and drank alkaline water. I'm having a healthy breakfast now, and then going to go for a bike ride.
@PoliteOcean
Apart from relentless self-care, I have resumed gymming. Increased protein intake and been getting rest too.
Last one year has been completely preoccupied with work, so it feels great to get some time off work and focus on what I have been missing
@DonaldDraper
Hey there DD~ Awesome job on the "relentless" self care time ( as well as resuming your gym-time, increasing protein, and probably the "most" important, getting your rest).
It can be so easy to forget, Not make, Or Not have the proper time to take care of ourselves simply due to "life"~ But sounds like you are doing an amazing job at all of it right now! Keep up the Great Work you are doing and Happy World Health Day!
@PoliteOcean
Here are my many recent dental health improvements:
1) Things I bought and used today for dental health:
- Crest Stannous Fluoride toothpaste
- Colgate high density ultrasoft toothbrush
- Gum brand illuminated dental mirror
- Gum brand Dual Technique flosser
- Dentek Easy Reach flosser with bristled pick on one end to clean under gumline
- Dentek plastic tip probe and rubber tipped probe to clean plaque at gumline and check for soft spots
- Lingual cleaner to remove bacteria
2) Things I'm also doing for better dental health:
- Keep flossers and toothbrush by desk so easy reach
- Attached magnified mirror to desk lamp so can sit while flossing teeth carefully
- Soaking hard foods in water so softer to chew and also taste better too
- Cooking hard foods longer so easier to chew and less stress on teeth and cavities
- Stopped eating very hot so less stress on teeth and prevent cavity micro cracking
- Eliminated snacks
- Soaking toothbrush in water before use to soften so healthier for gums during brushing
- Avoiding acidic foods and especially beverages!!!
- Using xylitol often throughout the day as recommended by science studies
- Sipping water often
- Just got dental cleaning and exam and got new cavity filled that I found myself with plastic dental probe (even though the dental hygienist missed it 1 month ago)
- Dentist said I am doing a really great job
- Keeping gumline very clean and checking for any "bleeding on probing" of gumline pocket depth which is an early sign of gingivitis
- Took free dental and mental health training courses on dentalcare.com
@7motivation
Hey there! Sounds like you are making 'Excellent" strides at Dental Health!
Most probably don't even realize how much our actual Overall Health depends on us simply taking care of our Dental Hygiene! Its been shown in more recent years that many diseases are often started by simply not dealing with or taking care of Dental Health.
Kuddos to you on doing such a great job and Happy World Health Day!
@PoliteOcean
Thanks for pointing that out! 🌝
That's exactly why I'm being so careful now with my dental hygiene!
This infographic explains the many ways overall health is affected by dental health.
https://www.thespringdental.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/Spring-adult-FB-image.jpg
My biggest concern is dental problems easily transfer to the blood stream.
Then the whole body can get affected, especially with inflammation.
So I'm making dental health a top priority! 🌝
It only takes 2 minutes to carefully brush
and 2 minutes to carefully floss.
What helped me is making the habit as easy as possible.
Now I do it automatically! Yay! 🌝
@PoliteOcean
Apart from getting out of bed, I really haven’t done much today for my health. I actually went out and bought several Easter items that are probably not great for my health, but it is only once a year...
@UberRuminator
Hey there Uber!...
So What I'm reading is that you did something for your Health by not only getting up and out of bed to take on the day, BUT, that you also "treated" yourself for the Easter Holiday ;)
Great job. Sometimes it can be challenging depending on how we feel to even do just the smallest of things. But that fact that you accomplished that even if for the day, is a great thing. Keep up the great work!
