💚 What is something you can do better at or simply work on this month to help yourself in slowing down when things feel too chaotic around you?
@PoliteOcean
I slow down by praying.
Walking.
Listening to music.
Just simply being, and laughing and seeing the best in each day.
A nice, quiet, warm bubble bath 🩷🤗

@PoliteOcean
In what way or ways do you “like” to slow down for yourself?!
for us it doing crafts also laying down coming online we put self care into everyday as it helps we also want to get back into both doing meditations and writing them again like did years ago
💚 How do you “make, create, or find the balance in your time to “Slow down” when needed?! (What do you specifically do for yourself to make that happen)?
due to we not work and have lots of free time most days we try in the evening to come online and chat or write posts as we lay down in day time we even when home aid comes we balance out time to just be and not busy sometimes this be just taking nap in afternoon but it planned into our day
💚 Was there ever a time you felt that you were automatically forced to slow down for your overall well-being?!
yes when at 32yr old we no longer could work and had already lost parental rights we end up were started having physical health issues and mental health issues got very bad we end-up cycling' in and out of pychwards for 3yrs it was very bad but looking back we see this forced slow down was just what we needed at the time as it in this time we also was able to get away from our ex hubby started really thinking out mental health and what it was too so in end it was start to us really getting a lot better but at time we hated it
💚 What is something you can do better at or simply work on this month to help yourself in slowing down when things feel too chaotic around you?
for us it be just to not try to do so much and listen more to our body we tend to tune out our feelings and even body stuff then we push self way to much so just to listen to the clues within physical body would help us slow down more
@stormieandpaws
It looks like you have lots of things that you like to do & enjoy doing that help you to slow down when needed. This is definitely a great list! 👍🏼
It’s also great that you have the free time to find & create balance for yourself to simply slow down, rest, & do the things you enjoy. And that you are able to plan your day around these things.
It’s certainly understandable that your mental & physical health issues forced you into having to slow down for your overall wellbeing… It’s so important that we take care of ourselves so we aren’t getting forced Into having to slow down before we are ready or feel ready. Finding the balance & making the time to do what we need to do can be so helpful before it gets to that level.
It’s wonderful that you are trying to listen to your body more! Because it will definitely send us clues & information & signals that it’s time to take a step back & take care of ourselves! Keep up the great work. And thank you for sharing!
I can't think of an correct answer but I wish everyone all the best.
