How much do you take care of your emotional health ?
We take care of the hair, take care of the body, try to do physical exercises.
If we feel pain, we look for an orthopedist, we feel bad looking for a Clinician, a Cardiologist, a Gastro. Do a blood test, eye exam, go to the Dentist ... even Nutritionists and Endocrinologists, all to make us super prepared for the "media" we live in today, without neglecting health, of course.
But how do you take care of your emotional health?
How much do you think you need someone's help to reflect on your problems? Ah, I bet you think: “I'm not crazy, I don't need help to solve my problems” .. STOP!
Psychotherapy has been growing and becoming much more popular than it has been for a long time and this is, in large part, the 'fault' of those who understood that it is not necessary to have exactly one complaint to seek therapy. We just need to be willing to understand certain issues that seem simple, everyday, but that suck our time and energy much more than running millions of kilometers on a treadmill.
Taking care of emotional health is as important as taking care of physical health, because it is with it that you wake up and sleep every day, it is with it that you make decisions and reflect on the steps you will take (or will not take) and us he usually leaves all this aside simply because of the prejudice of thinking that 'asking for help' is shameful.
Can you tell me why it is shameful to ask a Psychologist for help and not to ask a Personal Trainer?
Depression affects millions of people across the planet and can reach tragic outcomes if it is not treated seriously and lightly at the same time. For that, you need to seek help .. not treating it as ‘freshness’ or as ‘sadness that never passes’ is the main role of those around people who suffer from the so-called “Bad of the 21st Century”
Symptoms such as sleep disturbance, loss of pleasure from routine activities, excessive guilt and a feeling of worthlessness may indicate a condition of depression. No age, no social class, no color or creed. ALL of us are subject to developing this picture, depending on the attention we pay to ourselves.
With the advent of the internet and social networks, we are much more attentive to each other's lives, the world of ostentation and appearances can bring devastating results to those who have (or think they have) 'less' than Face's colleague… But does he really have it? or just want to join the wave of showing what you want to see? And if he REALLY has it, how much does it matter to you, affect you? Are these people REALLY happy?
So, stop prejudice .. learn more about the subject, look more at the health of your soul, look for a Psychologist even if you think you have no problem, even if you think you do not need help ... Reflect on your life, face front internal questions is too good, guys!
Think about it!
Thank you for sharing this great information with us and the community.
@KACOSMIC
VERY important information. Its very neccesary to take care of our "EMOTIONAL & MENTAL" Health and Wellbeing. Just the same as it is when we keep up with our physical appearances.
There is such a "Stigma" on Mental Health Issues, and more attention surely needs brought to it. If anything Mental and Emotional Health might be even more slightly important as its what causes us to feel the way that we feel from day to day. And in turn, How we feel, becomes how we act or how we are, or what we display of ourselves at times.
But in the end, it ALL goes together... Physcial, Mental & Emotional health and wellbeing all go together "Hand-in-Hand and should be treated as such.
Thanks so much for sharing this post!
