4 tips to get started

4 tips to get started no matter if you took a break or if it's new to you.

#1 choose an activity that you like. Even if it burns fewer calories, it does not matter. The important thing is that you can continue it on the long-term.

#2 Find a friend or a group with who you can to train yourself. so you can continue even during the most difficult times.

#3 set short-term goals and not just a weight loss goal, because this type of goal can be stressful and demotivating. Find other goals too. For example, participate in a sporting challenge or improve yourself in something.

#4 go there gradually. Of course, to not to hurt yourself, but also to not lose interest or get too tired.

So what is your goal? What exercice have you picked?

**I got off track and took a break during the Holiday season, (which can be not the best time to take a break)....So I feel like I am starting over again in a way at getting back on track...

**Although I don't normally workout with a "friend".. I have been back to incorporating "Group" classes, where other fellow people enjoy the same workouts that I do which can be motivating to be around others sharing the same goal.

**I don't normally set any type of goals.. however, I have pre-planned all my meals week by week, and pre-tracked them, as well as plan to get an earlier bed time and drink more water.

@PoliteOcean a friend or a group, yes, groups or classes are easier to join, than getting new friends. lol I also opted for it.

@vivelespatates

I got off track from November last year LOL had too many events going on, and eventually I guess I gave up on myself... and now I'm on holidays overseas! 😅

But I plan on getting back on track starting March, and I'm excited! I want to do many things (maybe too many...): return to pilates, somehow start weight training (never done it before...), learn to swim (struggling with the breathing part...) and join a netball team! And when I have the money to do so, and when I get my drivers licence, get a gym membership so I can join classes and swim!

My goals are to have nicely defined muscles (not TOO defined!), get stronger and improve my cardio. I'm struggling with the cardio bit as I get exercise-induced headachea from too much cardio, so I'm hoping to improve that slowly. I might use the Couch to 5K app and see how that goes! If it works and I enjoy running, I might look into running a half-marathon... that might take me a few years though, can't see myself enjoying running anytime soon!!!
