I would like to try out one of the different classes my trainer teachs. I was actually planning on trying it weeks ago, but my body had other plans and I had to take it easy when I could go and wasn't able to go for a while. So it wasn't the time to try out something new.
I don't know about being more active, it's not a goal I'm focusing on as there's no way to know if that's reasonable or not. This last year there was a pretty big change, and I can only expect so much in terms of improvements, especially with some of the current unknown reasons for symptoms.
I want to get back to the gym as I am paying for a membership. I had a pretty rough year so I was only going sporadically with the hope of going regular at some point. I actually haven't been there for about a month or two.
I also would like to do some yoga again either as part of a class or at home. I used to practice it regularly when I was younger and just stopped doing it. It's great for relaxing and it improves flexibility something that I need to work on as I get older.
And I would like to get back to more "intense" walks. I am currently walking everyday after dinner and trying to add an additional day-time walk in here and there during the week. I used to do hikes in the park with a walking group and walk through the park a lot on my own and that is something I got away from. some of it is weather related obviously but we had some wonderful weather in the fall that I failed to take advantage of so I want to make sure I don't let any opportunities slip me by in the spring.
Currently I just plan to stick with the things that I currently enjoy such as ZUMBA Fitness.... as well as POUND Fitness (which I discovered this past summer and completely enjoy!)
Once the summer months and warmer weather return, I intend to get back to outdoor swimming and walking.
One thing that I want to work towards and hopefully proceed with is getting my POUND Fitness license to instruct classes, and another Dance type format called MIXXED FIT (which is a dance fitness class which incorporates other movements such as bootcamp style things)...
Those are the things I intend to work towards for 2018~
I ordered a rowing machine, so we'll see what happens. It's much cheaper than what has been recommended to me, but I wasn't prepared to spend that much. So it may go back if it feels too flimsy or something. If it's good, maybe I can increase my activity level a tiny bit. Would be cool if I could manage to do a 'warm-up' worth most days. The motion feels much better than walking for me, but I have not used one for a long period of time, most is 10 minutes in a sitting.
@AffyAvo
That is so cool that you found one.. I've been thinking about getting one of these too.. I used to use them when I did "indoor" bootcamp sessions and loved it.
Think you inspired me to continue looking for an affordable one.Would be great to use during this winter season!
