For me, is has been a gradual process. I started off by doing beginner-type cardio exercises, like walking and biking. Now, I have progressed to doing more intense cardiovascular exercise most days of the week (mostly inline skating). I started off with doing short periods of exercise, and then moved to longer periods.

Figuring out what it means to improve my level of exercise, because at the moment I don't really know what that looks like for me.

When I first started out, I started by just taking a walk outside, then I found a local community center with an indoor track and exercise equipment for almost Free~.. So...I started walking the indoor track, and just doing simple laps for about 45mins-hour then I started using the equipment there and the treadmill, and began jogging a bit on it.......Then this is where I saw my FIRST Zumba class!.....I joined up, got involved, improved my cardio-vascular health and weight, then became a ZUMBA Instructor and was teaching anywhere from 4-7 classes a week for an hour at a time (something I would have never saw myself doing).......as my health and endurance improved, I also began an outdoor Bootcamp program as well 3-5 days a week. I no longer do the bootcamp..., but have different Dvds at home that I like to incorporate.

I think tracking fitness workouts, and organizing them into a weekly schedule, can prove to be an effective tool for ensuring progress and success in your healthy living goals. I also think planning out your favourite exercise activities to do, also maximizes your chances for success, as you are more likely to keep up with a fitness routine which you find enjoyable and comfortable for yourself, yet still allowing for challenge at the same time.
