Maintaining/Gaining Strength
In the past I never really cared about the best way to exercise, I used to just do what was fun. Then with being sick it was just about what could I do to improve and do so safely.
Exercising has certainly improved what's manageable and has raised my trigger threshold when it comes to activity based triggers.
Now that I have to change up what I have been doing, I don't want to lose any of the positive changes.
For strength, when it comes to doing daily tasks, does it matter how strength training is incorporated into exercise? In my daily life, am I going to notice much of a difference if I do something that involves lots of reps with a lower level of resistance? Or do I really need to lift heavier/have more resistance for fewer reps to keep that strength up for normal daily living?

Hey Affy...
Its really great that even though you deal with an ongoing health issue, that you have been able to find that Exercising has been able to improve what's manageable for you as well raise your trigger threshold . I'd say that is quite the progress for you! And hopefully as you stated, (that as long as you are able to continue to do what you are able to do now without issue) that you "Won't" lose any of the positive changes and progress that you have made!
I would think that strength training comes in various forms....whether its through physical activity/exercise, or doing things in your personal day to day life, (such as lifting objects around the house etc...)...But I would also think (based on your question), that whatever it is that is working for you, and has you feeling good, and not feeling like you are over-doing it... I would personally say that was good progress on your end?!
I know that you were seeing a trainer at one point... my only other question/response would be is this something that you have ever chatted with them about? Someone who actually knew you and your health issues/limitations on some level and could monitor your progress under 'both' situations.
Also, I would think too that you are so educated and "aware" of yourself and your body.... That I wouuld almost think as well that you might perhaps even "feel" the difference in one or the other? And which one would feel best for you without pushing you too much.
