What are some healthier food choices that you've made for yourself in the past week?

Hey all,

So my new year's resolution for myself was to keep my healthy eating habits (especially related to caloric intake) in check.

For this past week, I have opted for grilled chicken over my usual fried. I've also opted for more salad during my lunches.

For those who are focusing on their diets, what are some healthier food choices that you have opted for lately?

Good food is whatever makes you attain your maximum strength, but I only mean virtù in the Renaissance style.

I have had a couple friends deal with that particular issue in their lives as well, and vicariously, I know the journey can be difficult. I'm proud of you for setting that goal for yourself. <3

Instead of a soda or fruit juice I started drinking Kombucha lately as my drink pairing with a meal. Has been doing wonders for my digestive health.

I've heard really good things about kombucha, I may have to give that a try!

For myself, I'm so used to drinking water with everything that it is my go-to pairing for every meal unless I go out to eat. 😂

lately ive been switching to more raw foods than processed ones, especially for breakfast and evening which has made me feel way better. these include avocado toast and oatmeal.

@AveryLove

I've heard all sorts of good advice towards avoiding processed foods; it's something I'm trying to avoid for myself as well. I know my body can tell the difference when I eat fresh foods. It sounds so simplistic, but our bodies really react to what we put in them.

I'm focusing on drinking water and eating more healthy food , other times I dont eat anything so I'm making time to eat food, but sometimes I eat junk food because I think I'm atleast eating something so my focus is to eat healthy food .

@nessa104

There are times when I am on-the-go and forget to eat as well. And junk food, for me, is almost like a black hole. Not just for the analogy with my mouth, but the fact that junk food is not, itself, filling. And so I have to really watch when I eat it, because it can get very problematic for me very quickly.
