my diet
most of my diet as a kid in Mexico was highly fattening food..still is, trying to re teach myself that its not good for me. But as the same time it has helped me to look what I look like today! It was also eaiser to make and keep with me as I worked as a kid on the family ranch all day long esp the tortillas..I also lived on eating food from a bag and most of the time very cheesy and fried, tons of carbs, beans, meat. A few vegtables but mostly from the salsa. tons of deserts!!! When I moved on my own to AZ at 16 I didnt have alot of money so I survived on cheap stuff from Food City and fast food. I looked alot older than I was because of my body...idk maybe I just age faster or something. My curves were really starting to be defined and my upper body was still the same and strong from the ranch life. I also worked at a fast food place for awhile to get threw school so that go me hooked.
I seriously need to eat healthier, but I feel like my body cant live without fattening foods, etc. I am not diebetic or anything just i crave them so much. I feel like if i stop my curves will get smaller or less thick. Food is such a important cultral thing in my home country...eating the same foods keeps me connected to home and who I am. I LOVE TO EAT and it will always go to my lower body. I was very thick when i was like 18.. Today I am 5'11 195lbs and naturally hourglass, skinnyish upper body..flatis stomach. all the good curves and thicccc.
Any thoughts or help with this is appreciated?

Hey there..
Perhaps not thinking to much or too hard about it and keeping it simple?... Meaning for starters things like "Portion Control" could help.. While not giving up your favorite things that you like, you can simply just "cut back" a little, and keep smaller portions than you currently eat.
You could also try something like using/ swapping healthier ingredients in what you make... For instance, if it calls for "Sour Cream" (off the top of my head)... perhaps substitute with Plain Greek Yogurt instead?.. (Things like that)..Or if it calls for "white flour" use "whole grain" instead? etc...etc..
And last, you can always keep the things you like, while adding "healthier" side-dishes as options not to overeat the "less healthy" stuff... For instance, adding Salads to your Main dish, (instead of multiple helpings of the main dish)....Or eating a Sweet potato rather than a White potatoe ...etc..etc...
We can always choose to make healthier and "smarter" choices for ourselves while not giving up the things that we truly love. What fun would that be?!![]()
