How to live on my own?

Hi, I was wondering how to live on my own when I'm the nervous about it. Like how do I remember what and how many meds I need to take and at what time? How do I make food and have a healthy life (and also have more healthy foods when I have trouble with texture)? How do I pay taxes when I'm nervous about something bad happening during a job? etc. I'm sorry I didn't know where to post this or if this is the wrong place.

I'm probably the last person you should be talking to about this, but I would say focus on a few small goals (like managing your meds with a calendar) rather than trying to do everything right at once so you don't get burned out. Once you succeed at thos goals (no matter how small) just use that momentum to keep going. As for the specifics there's plenty of info online for personal finance and nutrition.

Sorry this is late, but I think that'd be a great way to start. I'll make sure to do my best with that and keeping track of those things!

Congratulations on your independence! This is an easy fix. Get a check list. Put reminders on your phone. Im incredibly absent minded and even though I do not live alone I've never had someone who would remind me to take care of myself. I did have people who complained, though. To protect myself from the criticism I had to force my brain to be more organized, which, even after making it to day 10 where something is supposed to be a habit, just didn't happen. So I cheated. I gave my brain some help. I rely on my phone calendar, alarms, notifications in 3 places and a checklist of activities. Sometimes I dont do them (like vacuuming...) but the important ones? I make very few mistakes.

Thank you very much for this. I'll have to try these out this time, I really appreciate this since it can be pretty hard to remember this sorta stuff and try things out.

@Moon171 It's good to see that you're taking this big step despite being uncomfortable with some aspects of it. Venturing out on our own is often very difficult and for some of us, even frightening. I commend you for moving forward and for having the wisdom to seek guidance. Everyone has made the same great point: just take it one thing at a time, little by little. Things always look worse than they are when they are piled up, but they aren't nearly so bad one at a time. Best of luck to you and thank you for sharing.
