Letting go

Hi,

I recently left my last place of worship along because the environment was not healthy along with also appearing to lose some there who I thought were my friends. I am talking to a listener right now who is helping me move forward. So far I have goals to let these people go and leave them alone along with eating right. Other suggestions?

@Summershy

Just a suggestion -

Be grateful for having let them go, already.

Be grateful, because by your actions it's already happened. You've done it.

Ok, you may notice some bad thought habits about the whole sorry mess. When you notice these thoughts, just pour out the gratitude.

@DavidEss I am grateful that these friends are no longer in my life because it means that I am not going to waste my energy by allowing myself to give them the power to make me upset.

I am also grateful that I now have room to meet new people who are more positive

I am grateful that I have my own space to be myself and enjoy what I love without the worry of criticism and ridicule

I am grateful to be free

@Summershy

Hi there Summershy

Sounds to me like you are doing an amazing job at letting go and releasing what is no longer healthy for you (ie: healthy situations or people)...

Seems that you are making great choices for yourself and headed in the right direction. Keep up the great work and feel free to reach out for support here anytime! I'm glad to hear that you have a listener that you have connected with and who is helping you along the way.

I am going to move your thread to our Healthy Living "General Support" section here in the community where it will be a better fit.
