Struggling with comfort eating.
I am hopelessly addicted to unhealthy eating. It is destroying my health and teeth, but I cannot stop from eating food such as cookies, icecream, choclate, coke etc I eat in order to cope with my anxiety and other bad feelings.

Hi there Slayer~
Sorry to hear that you are having such a challenging time in being able to get on track with healthier eating.
It sounds like you are also dealing with some other "underlying" mental health issues as well that can be making it more challenging and difficult to get to where you desire to be.
My suggestion would be to have those issues addressed "first"..... as Body & Mind go hand in hand. Our physical health affects our Mental health..... And our Mental Health can affect our Physical Health.
Addressing those mental health issues first, ( whether through counseling, therapy, group support, or speaking to your healthcare provider) etc... can possibly help towards getting you on track to where you'd like to be. And getting you off to a better start on the right foot. Once you start feeling better "mentally", the rest will start to fall in line and come together too.
Other things that you can possibly get a start on for yourself is making some "small" changes. As to not overwhelm yourself. And that can be just by making some simple swaps. Swapping out soda or juices for water. Maybe just start with one extra glass of water a day and one less can of soda?..... Also, finding a fruit that you like, and eating one extra piece a day (instead of or in place of icecream or chocolate).... It doesn't have to be all at once.... You can gradually start small, and continue to work your way up.
Once you start to take the initiative to create healthier habits for yourself, and you start feeling a change, you will start seeing the change as well. And will start to develop a more positive attitude about healthier eating and a healthier lifestyle. Just remember that we are here to support you in any way that we can.
Best of luck!
