Weight loss
Hello, good afternoon! I hope everyone is doing well today! :)
Does anyone have advice for weight loss for someone who weighs 145 pounds? I'm 14 years old, and some people have told me that kids shouldn't start a calorie deficit, while others say it has really helped them in their weight loss journey. I've wanted to lose weight since I was a child, as I've always been the fat kid.
I would really appreciate it if someone could help! <3
Honestly, I'm not a doctor and I don't know if a calorie deficit is acceptable at your age. I'm 19 and this method helped me. I combined it with exercise and a healthy diet. I'm also thinking about starting to take vitamin supplements thanks to Canadian Pharmacy Partner . I finally started drinking 2-2.5 liters of water a day. Good luck with your weight loss, I believe in you!
hello, i’ve always been the big kid myself but i’ve recently went on a weight loss journey, i’ve started following the 80/20 rule which means you literally cut your usual food portions in half and only have a small treat. this makes you eat less but still get the nutrients you need. you should get a diet plan to follow which basically provides you a few meals you can eat which can help give you the main nutrients your body needs to survive and be healthy, while you’re doing this you should also move your body and by that i don’t mean going to the gym every day for 3 hours, you could take a 30 min walk every day. this also helps your mental health because it can help clear your mind. make sure you drink plenty of water and stay hydrated.
@Sherbeto I'm sorry you were known as the fat kid, im sure you are more than that and have lots of wonderful qualities. Focus less on the weight and more on exercise, and taking things one day at a time, worry less about the bullies and more about feeling good in your own skin 🥰
How is your weight loss going?
I am trying to lose 10 pounds in the next 6 weeks.
use only doctor-prescribed, regulated weight-loss medications. The main FDA-approved GLP-1 options for age 12-17 include ((edited: due to mentioning of specific medication names)) for adolescents with obesity, used with diet/activity support and medical supervision.
