Nightmares/Dreams

Hello to All,

I've been having unpleasant nightmares during the beginning of my depression, as far back as 20 years ago. I'm 30 now. Depression has been a big part of life. About five years ago, I went to see a Psychologist, who was able to interpret the nightmares that I had in my teens. It was quite interesting to know the meaning behind it. From the history of my depression, and what was going on at the times of the nightmares, she linked the two together.

Ever since the start of my nightmares, whenever I woke up, I remember what I dreamed about. To the very detail, and I had kept a Dream Log. Before, I wrote my nightmares into my diary, then, when I started using the computer, I typed them out. I still keep adding to it to this day. I can sometimes draw it out too (although my drawing is horrible, heheh).

It would be interesting if there was a topic in 7 Cups where we can all share the dreams we have. Although it may not be interpreted, but I can tell you this, the things you dream about, is your subconscious doing the work of your everyday stresses. Whether it be trying to solve something, or telling you what you're struggling with, or explaining a situation. It apparently is all linked.

Cheers~

@Jaeteuk

Hi, Welcome. I am sorry you are having these nightmares. In fact I used to have nightmares too. Do you think you can seek some methods to relax a little? Your suggestion to share dreams here is really interesting...

We can heal ourselves. If you want to talk to me you can message me anytime. smiley

@joyfulLight13

Thanks, I don't have nightmares as often as before. But I get it when I feel really stressed, or my depression is bad. There was twice when I was in middle school, that I had a nightmare that lasted for a week. Each night, the same thing would happen, but the outcomes were different. Those were the nights, where I was afraid to fall asleep too, afraid of what would happen next in the dream.

I'll definitely message you sometime~
