@BurningEmber

Thats ok Ember... it happens. Sometimes we just get in a rut, or just get caught up in other things. Nobody said that living healthy was necessarily and easy task right!? lol... But, we just try as well as we can or are able to keep moving forward and do better :)

My week went well..... This is another week down since the New Year began and the holidays have ended that i have completely stayed on track. My anxiety wasn't as much, but my sleep still needs some work! However, I have finally started to work on getting to bed a little earlier. and have been meeting my minimum hours of sleep that I have set for myself. I reached that 3 times this week, so was glad to see that on my FITBIT tracker.

Stayed on track with eating well, and exercising daily. Today is my "Rest Day" and also my "Weigh In" Day as well. I have NOT weighed-in since the week before Christmas!... I've been putting it off, as I did "Enjoy" the holiday and the treats as much as I could without feeling guilty. But low and behold to my "surprise" I was actually "down" again! In weight and BMI... So I'm happy with those results as well. So just want to keep up and keep moving forward with the results that I am working toward. And I've bought some New spring clothes for myself which helps me to stay on track as well. Hope everyone is having a good week. Enjoy your weekend :)

Hey all. This week was alright because my dinners were healthier. I had salmon more often and delicious tortilla soup. There isn't any one exercise routine that I stick with yet because I get bored easily. Sleeping has become a luxury and I don't get very many hours every night. But I plan on taking a nap today and some cake later (a small piece). I lost 10 lbs and I wasn't even paying attention LOL. But I did try to eat moderately and not as much dessert. I hope you all have a great week! ❤❤❤

@Mellietronx

I agree on the rest and sleep. I feel you and understand what you are saying. Getting proper rest is in a category all its own!... And seems to be one that alot of us here struggle with. I'm glad to hear that your week went good for you otherwise! Keep up the great work!

My week has not been going well.

I don't know - I have been in a bad mood. I wish I could be more active, workout more often, get things done... but I'm struggling with iron anemia deficiency. I have to take pills for about 3-6 months in order to get more energy to be able to do all these things. I don't have the patience with these pills though because it makes me lose motivation along with a low mood.

I don't want to give excuses either. I know I could push myself through this, but I don't know why I'm not as upbeat as before.

I feel like there is a lot for me to improve on but I'm stuck. I don't know how to get that drive within me that I had before. I guess it's time to go back to baby steps and keep my head up.

Tonight I will meditate and tomorrow will be a brand new day, an opportunity to start again. I think I will be okay.

I'm sorry I lost though.

@SecretNotes26

Please dont be too hard on yourself. You have to take care of "You"!... The important thing is that you follow the recommendations of your physician to feel better. I'm a nurse, so I know it can take time for your body to get regulated when you have an iron deficiency. Just give it time and everything will fall back into place for you. Don't be too hard on yourself or push yourself too much...

Its great that you know that you can ALWAYS go back to the "simple, as well as basic steps" of Living Healthy. Watch what you eat, get better sleep, include foods that contain iron as well, green leafy veggies...... drink plenty of water. Drinking plenty of water will help keep you hydrated as well as "freshen" your body and mind. Mediation is a great way to relax and give good health to your Body, mind and soul. Meditate, journaling, even as far as exercising (perhaps take a look at the Very LOW impact videos under the Featured Exercise of the Day)! There are things you can do right in your own bed!! As well as things like yoga and Tai Chi.....It keeps your body at least "moving and stretching" (and it still burns calories) :) So you are still doing something good for yourself even by going back to "basic" steps! You can do it! Hang in there and it will come together smileyyes

@PoliteOcean

Thank you so much! I whole-heartedly appreciate your thorough response❤ thank you for taking the time to send such encouraging, supportive words(:

I definitely will make sure to take care of myself and you are right - everything will fall back into place. I will check out the video (I had no idea there were such videos on here, so thank you for informing me about it). I will also use the basic steps to slowly get better mentally, emotionally, and physically.

Its hard not to be hard on mysef because I know I can do better. But thank you so much (:

I've actually done fairly well with healthy stuff this week. I did those 5 min exercises of the week, the cardio one and the tai chi one, a few times. I also did yoga before bed and after getting up some times, which helps me sleep better... I probably didn't get as much sleep as I should have, oh well. I've also brushed my teeth more regularly and wore my retainer once. (silly little stuff that I have a hard time doing!) So I'm getting more back on track I guess... Emotionally I've been all over the place. Kinda depressed sometimes, which is unusual for me since I'm generally more on the anxious side of things? I don't know what to think. Oh well.

@lovingBanana5204

Loving this is so great to hear! Sounds like you have been doing an awesome job. So glad to hear that you have been doing the 5 minute workouts and that you are benefiting from the use of having them. And all the "little" things you are doing for yourself is great! Sometimes we forget to do those little things, or get so caught up in "life" that those little things (like brushing your teeth) don't take any priority. Battleling depression as well can also make it more challenging to say the least. I can relate, as the anxious side is what tries to get the better of "me" as well..... But it sounds like you have done a great job at pushing through as well as you can. I'm proud of you! Keep up the Great work you've been doing! yes Very inspiring :)

@PoliteOcean Thank you so so much, this is so nice to hear! smiley This is a much more positive way than how I saw it but perhaps I didn't give myself as much credit as I should have and thought the week was worse than it actually was! Thank you!

My week was pretty good, last week. I did an aerobics dvd a couple of times. I've been trying to eat more vegetables. I have really limited my coffee intake this year, which is good. I prefer not to drink too much coffee; I made a New Year's Resolution to limit my caffeine intake. Other than that, I am looking forward to getting a new pair of inline skates, this week. My old pair was wore out to the point that one of the wheels started making a strange noise. I figured I'd treat myself to a new pair, since those were quite old.

Oh wow Isabelle! Sounds like you are really doing a great job and staying on track as well!.. Great job with the goals you have set for youself. Inline skating is really fun. I wish I knew where my skates were lol... I had a pair I bought ages ago, and me and my son who was 5 years old at the time would skate around outside our home..... I might end up killing myself now on those!! LOL...., but they are certainly fun and a great way to exercise! Keep up the great work you are doing! yes
