@PoliteOcean checking in daily is becoming a challange from time to time but I am certainly trying to keep it up. my biggest struggle is getting the referal clicks to be honnest! :( I can't get the offline outreach so I need quite some clicks
@colourfulWatermelon53
Yeah, it can be challenging to check-in "daily" thats why I like to only do it ONCE a week here in the Healthy Living Subcommunity. I figure it gives everyone a much better chance at being able to look back over an entire week and look at where they started to where they've come and to look at things they need to work on or need to change. As well as what they did that was good for them, or they improved upon.
Been an alright week for me.... Stayed on track and plan with exercise and eating. Didn't work-in anything "new" like I was going to. But I know I need to start incorporating new and different things. I have been increasing my time though on my "Simply Fit" board which is getting fun and addictive. I could barely twist for 5 minutes to start now I'm almost up to 20 minutes and it burns some great calories.......Mother Nature has been acting a little crazy with this weather going back and forth, so I'm still sticking to indoor workouts mostly. I did increase my water intake this week. Not to where I wanted, but I did increase it a little more..... Mentally/Emotionally been ok... (thats a constant to keep that in check as well as I am able)..Still working on my "Sleep" patterns, doing alittle better at laying down earlier. Hope to start increasing that more as well....Today is Weigh-in Day so far so good....And REST DAY! Yayy! Hope everyone else has had a good week :)
@PoliteOcean
Good job this week! Celebrate all that you accomplished and just keep going! Enjoy your rest day! Hugs!
Last week I mentioned having a no specific physical activity week. I had appointments and stuff going on. I didn't feel any better with the 'rest'. So other than needing a full day to rest after exercising and usually feeling crappy that day it at least seems to not affect my whole week any more than less physically demanding activities.
I'm anticipating a struggle with more appointments taking up my energy. I'm having trouble booking in a timely fashion though, so looks like I have a bit of time before that will happen.
I am doing well with cardio. I have made a plan to start strength training, and need to set aside a day or two days a week to do it. Other than that, I'm having a good balance of meals, with some healthy ones and some treats, and drinking as much water as possible.
I bought a Cuisinart food processor to replace my old Cuisnart processor that was caught in their massive 8 million unit blade recall - https://recall.cuisinart.com/ - I recommend anyone that has one check their recall status.
I only made it out to take my two mile walk around the park three times last week, due to weather and lack of motivation.
I did make a nice sweet potato chilli in my slow cooker and posted some links to recipes from the Forks over Knives website to my thread in the Healthy Living forum - https://tinyurl.com/glttrmn
Forgot to mention that I had lunch on Friday with some former coworkers. We try to get together once a month but this was the first time we had been able to get together in the last three months.
I finally got to fully resume my regular exercise routine after an injury forced me to take it super easy for over a month. That's been a high point, even though I have struggled with the motivation give my workouts the usual 110%.
The unpredictable weather coupled with other circumstances beyond my control have prevented me from being able to hop on my bike like normal and take advantage of the unseasonably warm temperatures. That's been frustrating. Hopefully I can remedy that in the coming few weeks.
I've been trying to go to sleep by 10 every night for the last few weeks and it has really made a big difference in how I feel during the day. I'm going to continue to be a reformed night owl from now on. ;)
@AlfalfaSproutDeux
Its always frustrating to get "side-lined" when you are making progress. I know how that feels for sure.... Good that you are getting back into the swing of things though. Thats great.
Mother nature surely has been up and down lately with this weather as well.....I try to make the most of it until she decides to "mellow-out" and I can get back outside again regularly. But, I know it would be nice to get back to getting outdoors and meeting better goals...
And as far as the "sleep" thing, I hear you on that one. I've been trying to do better as well. 10pm is still a little too early for me though lol...But its great that you are doing such a great job. Hopefully I will get back to that as well.
@PoliteOcean
Thanks for your encouragement...I appreciate it. :)
@PoliteOcean Haven't doing so well this week. Been depressed so my exercise has gone down.
@PoliteOcean
honestly i panicked over my health once this week XD i got the physical education timetable for my new school, and it involves sports every day from monday to friday!! considering i only do sports once or twice a week, this is going to be a huge disaster XDD
@windflowers
I'm sorry to hear that Windflowers.... I know that is not a fun thing to feel. I hope that these things come together for you and start to feel and become less stressful as well. Just remember to take care of "you". And to talk to someone as well about how you are feeling about that schedule.
@PoliteOcean
ahah well thank you!!
