**This past week went pretty fast.... It was another "blink and you missed it" type of week for me?!...It was one of those weeks where I thought I would have an entire week to do things and work on getting some stuff done and accomplished and now here it is the end of the week already and I'm still not much closer to the main things I needed to do?! lol..... I had a few appointments, I taught two of my Fitness classes (and Still on break from one)..., and attend a few others classes throughout the week for my own workout and to try to gain some inspiration...... I continued to stay on track with food, sleep and water. I've been trying new things to eat and new ways to incorporate food and "switch" things up a bit... and even starting to eat things that I haven't had in what seems like a long time (such as fresh Oranges, and Strawberries) since these things are coming back in season as well as cottage cheese which I Love but had given up for a while.~

**The weather has been really nice, mild and Much more Spring-like.... So I've been able to get out with my mom much more this week and get our morning walks in together...... I'm really learning to appreciate this time with her more as we don't really see each other often outside of these morning walks...... This past week my old childhood friend that I've known my entire life, (whom I grew up with) Well she lost her own mother at the start of the week after a battle with a 10year illness...... It was a very disheartening way to start the week to hear this news for her. It was just another reminder to me to continue my best to appreciate all those I care for and try to get them to see we all need to make more time for each other~. And to always be kind to others for we never know what someone is going through in their lives.~

**I'm continuing to "strive" to stay on track with things and really was hoping to meet a major goal by the beginning of this year, but that did not happen. So... I'm continuing to work on that same goal and remaining prayerful to reach it or be close to it by the summer (at least some time this summer) even its not by the start of it.....Any part of the summer will do!? lol... and I'm going to incorporate much more "Self-Care" as well, even if that means saying NO more, sleeping in a little later than usual, and just simply doing what makes me feel good over-all.

**Part of that goal is continuing to stay on track as best I can even on my FREE days, which happens to be today!.... I kind of slacked off on my Free days... And I figured that would be ok to do since we ALL need those days, but for myself personally, I think I need to stay on track even on those days as well with activity (which I was taking a rest from on Free days)...So today my intent is to be at the Local Bi-monthly POUND event in the morning and then continue on with the rest of my "Step-Goal" for myself throughout the day.

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND~yes

How have things been going for you this past week?

- Not too great. This week I worked over 50 hours. We also found out one of my managers has cancer.

How has April been treating you so far?!

- Terrible. Things keep getting more difficult.

What things have you done this past week to feel good? How many of you practiced any Self-Care this week? What did you do? How did it make you feel?

- Eat ice cream, play video games, spend time with husband, watch tv shows. I always have a routine at least once a week to take a long hot epsom salt bath.

What goals will you continue to work on for yourself this month?

- Trying to find a better position. Making sure I keep up with self-care, it really has been essential this month.

What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

- Highlights: Not getting fired or in trouble at work, not puking at work, not fainting at work, earning more money

Struggles: Working longer hours putting more strain on my body. Finding time to spend with husband. Trying to stay on track with eating healthy and drinking enough water.

What are your weekend Plans?!

- The husband, his brother, and I are going to an event this weekend. I hope to get some well needed rest as well.

Hey there!

So sorry to hear that you've been having some recent challenges in your journey lately....Also thats sad to hear about your manager. I'm sure that news came as a big shock. Prayerfully they will get the care that they need and continue to move forward and do well with their medical care.

Sounds like you have made some awesome choices for yourself in getting "Self-care" time in... Sounds like you really need it!.... (Eating ice cream, playing video games, spending time with husband, watching tv shows.) .These sound like really fun and great times as well as things that are really good for the soul... Me and my own husband do these "EXACT" same things every weekend to relax and unwind from the hustle of the week. (Minus the video games) lol.. He plays them, I don't anymore since my son grown up lol....... EPSOM Salt baths are a MUST!.. I too try to squeeze them in at least "Once" a week, I was doing them almost nightly when I could, but then time got in the way again...

It sounds like you have ALOT of great "goals" for yourself! Good luck to you on finding a better position!..I love the fact that you stated you are going to make sure to keep up with selfcare! That is so very important!

I hope that you enjoyed your weekend plans, your attended "event", as well as getting the rest that you needed. Thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how things went for you. Please continue to check back and keep us up-to-date!

*How have things been going for you this past week?

Things for me have been extremely up and down, to be honest. Monday, I saw my friends and boyfriend which was nice but apart from that, I don't remember. Tuesday, everything had been going so well until I heard that my friend has died which has really affected me. Wednesday, it was really nice seeing my friend but I did miss my boyfriend and I broke down at home. Thursday, it wasn't the best even though I see people I care about. Friday, stressful and didn't feel well. I wonder how the rest of the week will go.

**We are almost HALF way already through the month of April?!... Last week was our first April check-in! Time flies! How has April been treating you so far?! **What are your weekend Plans?!

Wow, April has gone so quickly, 8 weeks with my boyfriend already which is quite a long time for teenage relationships these days. April has been treating me quite well in multiple ways but obviously, something has to happen to justify that which was my friend dying. That's obviously been difficult but hopefully, after the funeral, I will be okay. My weekend plans...hm...well today I am seeing my friend (or at least childhood friend) who knew the friend who died. We all knew each other etc...and my mum wanted to pay them a visit so I'm doing that in a couple of hours. I think we might be buying me a bookcase because I need somewhere to store my books. Secret bookworm...shhh!

**What things have you done this past week to feel good? How many of you practised any Self-Care this week? What did you do? How did it make you feel?

The past week, to make me feel good, I have spent time with friends. I have also made a start on one of my pieces of homework to reduce my stress later on in the holidays. I still have so much but I don't want to think about that. I also tidied my bedroom completely which was amazing at first but I have already messed up my room again. RIP. I should really sort that out but let's face it, I'm not going to. I always try to practise Self-Care because it's obviously important so this week I just looked after my skin a lot on one day. I really had to that after getting sunburnt. Yes, in 18 degrees because I'm that pale. And yes, my nickname is Casper (the ghost). It made me feel calmer and more confident seeing as I wasn't completely red anymore.

**What goals will you continue to work on for yourself this month?

I will continue on all the goals I haven't completed but thankfully I have completed so many. I tidied my room on Tuesday (as I mentioned above). I also got my hair trimmed on Wednesday so I can grow out the layers and also grow my hair longer whilst keeping it healthy. I reached the 8-week mark with my boyfriend on Thursday so I think I've done quite well so far. I know I'm going to reach the 2-month mark with my boyfriend because that's tomorrow. I'm actually quite proud of myself.

**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

Many of both as always. I guess the highlights have been meeting up with my friends/boyfriend on Monday and Thursday, seeing my best friend on Wednesday (I might be seeing her next week too!), getting my hair cut, tidying my room, 8-week mark with my boyfriend, and just my boyfriend in all honesty. I think the Struggles have been complicated food behaviour and losing a friend because both are obviously very difficult but I will deal with them.

Hey there

Sounds like you really had ALOT going on in your life recently!....

Good job to you on maintaining your relationship with your boyfriend and spending time with friends, as well as getting your room cleaned up!... (I know how that can be, feeling so accomplished and organized by getting it cleaned but then a day or two later its all messy again and you have to start over! lol) .. I'm the same way and I'm an adult! lol

I too got a bookcase for my room.. but I'm not a bookworm, I just like to store my videos and journals on them... Its great that you like to read alot!..

Even more importantly, I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your friend!... Wow, I'm sure that was really difficult for you... Its not any easier as an adult to handle the emotions and feelings about something like that. I dont mean to sound "invasive" or anything, but may I ask what happened to your friend?..... If you don't wish to answer that is fine, or you are also welcome to message me privately as well... I'm just so sorry to hear this for you and your other friends.... I guess the one meaningful thing to come out of it is that it brought you and other friends together again. Perhaps you will all help each other to continue to deal and cope with the loss together. I know how difficult of a time this is. My child-hood friend just lost her mother last week as well... , I hadn't seen them in years because I moved away, but there were ALOT of memories there growing up with her and remembering her mom as well... So I can relate to the difficult feelings of it all.

I hope that you continue to cope, heal, and find strength and comfort of the loss of your friend..... and good luck on your continued relationship with your boyfriend and your continued goals for yourself this month!

Thank you so much for checking in and letting us know how things have been going for you!

Once I start cleaning and tidying my room I actually really enjoy it.

My friend got hit around the back of the neck with a hockey stick in practice. Almost instant death.

Another busy week but pretty much staying on track. Even was able to get to the beach and breathe some fresh sea air. Sea air is a good health booster for me. I am finally into summer type eating habits. It took some time to break the winter eating habits even through I stayed on track for the most part. I enjoy eating fruits and vegetables which makes staying on track easier. My weakness is sweets if they are around. So I try to avoid deserts or take small portions which is not always easy. The weeks are flying, so I try to work my goals all the time and not take a break from goal setting. I think the trick is to set realistic goals one step at a time. Self -care is definitely an important part of reaching goals. Best of luck with your goal setting. This is a great time of year to move forward with goals. Enjoy your weekend.smiley

Hey there Sail!...

Great to see you this week as always! So glad to hear that you are doing well and continuing to stay on track with everything as well as finding happiness and health boosting in the awesome spring weather (and the Beach)! **which I'm incredibly jealous of by the way ** wink

Great for you that you are getting and moving into more spring/summer like eating habits. I know what you mean... I have my weaknesses too.. I'm sure we all do. I don't think I have any "particular" food weakness, I LOVE most ALL food lol... SO I find it ALL to be a weakness for me lol... But its great that you are able to find ways around those weaknesses even if its not so easy all the time.

I wish you the best of luck on continuing to work your goals for yourself and for being able to "grasp" setting "realistic" ones!

I hope you are having a great week, and a not so busy one this week as well~ .. Thank you as always for continuing to check in and keep us up to date on how you are doing! Always great to hear from you.

How have things been going for you this past week?

The week was good but today was BAD :(, it's been my first week of school holidays so I've done a lot of self-care and exercise but today I broke up with my girlfriend which was tough

Self-care

I've done daily guided meditations, a lot of walking with my dogs and mum and spending a lot of time outdoors

What goals will you continue to work on for yourself this month?

I've been working on finding the right calorie intake for me, at 1500 I was losing too much weight, at 1650 I started gaining so I'm going to try out 1600 and see how that goes for me. I'm also going to focus on bigger, more filling meals so as to do less snacking

What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?

Highlights- I've done a LOT of working out and exercise and making my own healthy, nutritious meals

Struggles- occasional episodes of overeating snacks mindlessly (plus mental stuff)

What are your weekend Plans?!

Tomorrow I'll be working out, getting some holiday study done and walking the dogs with my mum again, just relaxing and taking some time for myself. The next day I'm going to meet up with my friend and hang out around the shops, I'm also going to meet with my.. ex-girlfriend (that's strange to say) to have a discussion of closure

Reflection of the week:

I checked in pretty late last week as I'd only joined the server two days ago but I'll write about the past two days

Friday- I had a breakfast of homemade granola and Weet-Bix, a lunch of a tuna, cheese a spinach melt sandwich in rye bread, a dinner of homemade chicken and corn soup and snacks of a quest bar, some halo top, some cashews and dates and a glass of milk. I went to the gym and did 4ks on the treadmill and 20 mins of weight training and took the dogs on a 30min walk

Today- I had a breakfast of eggs scrambled with cottage cheese, smoked salmon, mushrooms, and spinach, a lunch of baked beans, peas, cucumber and broccoli, a dinner of two sushi rolls and snacks of some protein balls, nuts, and fruits. I went to the gym and ran 4ks on the treadmill, 20 mins of weight training, 5 mins on the rower. I also walked the dogs for 20mins.

For tomorrow- I have planned breakfast of overnight protein oats (using salted caramel happy way protein power) with cooked banana and peanut butter, lunch of prawn veggie noodle soup, dinner of "chickpea pasta" (Pasta made of legumes) bolognese, and snacks of a quest protein cookie and an egg. (i like to plan my meals the day before). I'm going to the gym in the morning and will walk the dogs with my mum again, do some mindfulness meditation and self care to get through a tough mental state

Hey there!

Its great that the week for the most part went well for you.. but so sorry to hear that you broke up with your girlfriend~ Its sounds like if you were the one that broke up with "her" then it was something that you felt you very much needed to do for yourself. You have to do whatever is best for you.

Awesome job to you on getting in "Self-care"~ I find it amazing those that are able to do guided meditations.. Because I really want to do them as well, but I usually dont' make the time to do them, or forget about the fact that they are something that I want to "get into" and try to do on a regular basis......

How nice that you have been getting in walks with your dog AND with your mom! I too have been doing Both!! lol

I find it interesting you information about losing and gaining weight in relation to your calories.... Its great that you are able to narrow down what you find has worked and not worked for you to come up with a strategie for yourself..... I visited a nutritionist a few weeks back just to see what they had to say as I have never really seen one before during any of my journey.... I am one that has done "both" snacking between meals as well as just sticking to "larger meals" 3x/day. Then the nutritionist suggested to me to incorporate the snacks again to boost metabolism.... So I'm back to doing that will see how it goes.

I think its really awesome that you are making such great efforts towards your goals and health!

Your Food "journal"/choices are AMAZING... Sounds like we eat ALOT of the same things... perhaps just not in the same way... (for instance I find it really intersting on one of your days you had Salmon for breakfast!)... I'm not sure I could handle that for breakfast on my stomach lol.... But I have it for dinner quite ALOT!...... Your sample "menus" are really giving LOTS of inspiration!

I would truly love when you post if you could continue to share your eating plan and foods, they are really amazing and inspiring!

Thank you so much for checking in AND keeping us up to date on your journey, fitness and goals!.. Continue to keep us up to date on how things are going for you! (And I hope everything worked out with your "EX" and that you both found some type of closure!

Great for you that you are doing well this month! Getting in rest and more water is awesome!

I think its great that you are coming up with a "game plan" for yourself to move forward in your weight goals for yourself despite that you feel you are struggling.... That has always been my struggle as well, so I completely get it!

What game plan do you feel you will be able to work on or put in place for yourself?! I would love to know..I continue to find inspiration and motivation myself when I read through everyone's posts and goals!

- My health has been going pretty good this week! I've been outside more, I've added to my workout, and on days I missed, I'm making up. :)

- April is treating me very kindly! I think it's going to be a month of progress.

- This week I was kind and forgiving with myself, and I followed through with my self-discipline! My self-care this week was going on a date, even though I felt guilty for not working. I honestly feel so recharged afterwards, and even though I'm not gonna go long-term with this person, we both talked and agreed it'd still be fun to do stuff together-- so we scheduled a second date :)

- This month I really want to keep up with my yoga and situps (doesn't sound like a lot, but it is for me!). I also want to keep up with my agenda.

- Highlights: My attitude! Struggles: My motivation!

Hello! Thank you so much for checking up on me and replying. I haven't been on because I got very sick and busy at the same time, and I regret not going on 7cups, but I'm here now, right?

I haven't seen him again, BUT I did meet somebody knew who I really like a lot. :) We've been on four dates in the past 2 weeks cause we're real stoked on each other, and it's cute and going well. <3

I am just done with being sick with a lung cold for a little over a week.. I'm feeling a lot better though. I'm happy that the makeup I ordered right before I got ill appears to be the right type etc. I really need to clean up down here though. My plans this week are to help clean up the house and get back to day group and apply a few places for volunteer work.

The cold is actually lingering a little because I pushed myself too hard Sunday and Monday when I thought I was totally over it. I'm excited because when I talked to peer support the person seemed to think I'd be a good fit for working with one of several non-profits in office support. This is more in line with what I wanted to ultimately do than working at head start or one of the schools, so I'm happy, but I'm putting off going and turning things in until next week when hopefully I'll feel more rested.
