****ANY AND ALL "NEWBIES" PLEASE FEEL FREE TO SHARE YOUR WEEK WITH US!****
**The past week started off well,... but as it progressed I find myself caught up in a bunch of stressors that were brought on by others. For the most part I kept on track with everything! Food, activity and EVEN SLEEP!! Yay me!...
**Towards the middle of the week, things turned a little stressful as it was announced that gyms would open back up along with some other things in my area (per the govenor) ..... I wasnt happy about that.... as I felt it was too soon and did not want to go back to teaching so soon. I felt torn about those choices...... Then my Gym manager messaged us instructors with a bunch of what I felt was (complete Nonsense)... First she wanted us to start back to teaching "LIVE" classes with a minimum of 10 people distanced apart... I did not wish to comply with that so soon.... But it left me feeling rather anxious. And then... the following day, she then messaged us and stated she wanted to make some changes to our ZUMBA program at the facility which only caused more issues... Then.. By the end of the week, she decided to message our 'MEMBERS" and tell them that we would NOT infact be starting back so soon and would wait until further on in MAY due to more "gym guidelines" that needed to be followed before allowed to do so.....it was rather irritating as she didnt even bother to message us instructors "First" as a "Whole" group to let us know?!... Like this is something she ALWAYS does.. Tells the members first before even chatting with us about it as a team or a group. Its just becoming so difficult to work for her lately. But.. I am so close with our students there, some have been with me for years!. That it just makes it that much harder to tell her to go 'Fly a Kite" somewhere! Lol.....
**As of this time..I will still have a little longer to have to worry about going back in just yet, but have no idea how things are going to be when the time comes. So I have to at this time rely on my "Faith" that everything will continue fall into place eventually.......So for today... MY REST DAY.. I choose to breathe, relax, and enjoy it all. I got up early and took a livestream Zumba Class, then I went for a walk with my mom and husband right after to get in my activity for the day. My hubby and I went for a drive afterwards to enjoy some scenery and the beautifull weather. And now just relaxing the rest of the evening.
ENJOY THE WEEKEND~ STAY SAFE AND HEALTHY ![]()
@PoliteOcean
Mega YAY for staying on tracks despite all the stressors, especially with sleep!
It is quite stressing that things change so quickly, being told one day something, something different the next, it's something that i find quite annoying… Plus it also sounds quite upsetting that your manager didn
@LinearWaves
Hello PoliteOcean,
It's been a stressful week for you, but in the end the things that worried you didn't happen. Hope that coming days will be much more clear and you can go ahead with serenity and eveything goes according to your own plan. Good news you share is that you kept on track with food, activity and sleep (You are ahead of me on the sleep department).
Your message of having "Faith" is well received. As you say, eveything will fall into place, sooner than later. The end of the worst is near and we'll be part of a better world (it's in our hands) hopefully.
Have a nice week ahead.
@LinearWaves
Hey there Waves! Thanks so much for your support! I really appreciate it. And EVERYTHING you stated is so true. And yes, I agree, one can only hope. Theres just too much going on right now and enough stressors without adding and creating more for those that helping her to keep her business open in the first place. Very annoying to say the very least. These times surely are uncertain. And we can only hope that things will eventually calm down at some point.
**Hey Everyone~ How have you been over this past week?
I've been fine so far. During the mid-week, I got a little down thinking of what my major would be for college as I'm still undetermined, but I got over it eventually. I figured I shouldn't over-think too much even if it's getting closer now.
**This is our LAST CHECKIN for the month of APRIL! How do you feel this past month went for you Overall?
It has been good for me surprisingly despite the pandemic out there. I'm lucky to have my family members to be all safe and sound, and I hope things would stay that way for us. I also got the chance to bond with my family a lot through our time spent together.
**If you could choose ONE word to Sum up the Month of APRIL for yourself, what would it be?
Productive. I've been productive and healthy more than I ever imagined myself to be. I developed a routine for myself including working out every day, and it's hard to believe I'm still keeping my streak after almost 2 months! I also got to finish a lot of school/homework and things that will be due later in the future.
**What things would you like to see change for yourself in the New month ahead of us?
Going forward my most ultimate goal for now is to figure out and stick with an intended major. I think that would get the pressure off of me a great deal. Other than that, I want to motivate myself to get on the treadmill more to burn some quick calories!!
@herealways27
Well done on being productive and healthy! Its also amazing that you were able to impress yourself since you didnt imagine you could be that productive or that healthy, I personally love when that happens!
As for your major, Ive been in your situation as well, not knowing what to choose and I just wanted to share that whatever you choose nothing is ever set in stone and you can always make your own path as you want it! This is something that I struggled a bit to understand but in the end it really helped take some weight off my shoulders with this choice. I hope it can be of help for you as well! Take care and keep up the amazing work!
@herealways27
Hello Herealways,
Deciding about future and career it's not easy indeed. But I am sure you'll take the best decision and will share it with us in time. So glad that you and all the people you care about are safe and sound. I think we all have learnt the lesson and will be closer to our beloved ones from now one.
A round of applause for being productive and staying healthy beyond your expectations. Extra points for the schoolwork. I don't think you need to find extra motivation for the workouts, but just in case we are here to support you.
Take care.
The week was more or less productive work-wise again... However I did manage to start learning statistics, which I find a pretty hard thing to do by myself since understandable resources are lacking, so that's definitely a plus! I also went on a short run within the perimeter we're allowed and noticed how all the strength training Ive been doing is paying off since I feel more able keep going despite the pain (normal pain I mean) than before. Ive somehow gotten behind on sleep though (even though nothing has changed) which is making my stress levels higher and just ends up being a vicious circle. Ive also had a first fight with my mother, which Im surprisingly proud of as I feared there would be more, plus I was able to stay calm and be the mature one. So all in all it was a pretty good week!
It also looks like being able to go back to work is going to be a problem, but more precisions will be given about that in some days I guess, so Im staying in a state of kinda denial for now before we know more lol
The coming week Ill keep things the way they are with working out and learning Spanish, Ill also try and force myself to stick to learning statistics, and maybe go on more runs. I actually cant believe how fast time is going, but at the same time it all feels really long, it's such a weird feeling!
@LinearWaves glad to hear everything is overall going well for you, family wise and with work! i totally get the sleeping issues part, i lately have been having issues with my sleeping schedule as well since i kind of lost my routine.
i totally agree with you saying that time is going so fast but at the same time it feels like it has been ages... i cant believe i have been staying at home for 7 weeks now but at the same time, every day just passes by at this point.
@AveryLove
Thanks for your support !
Yeah all this kinda makes you rethink the concept of time haha, take care!
@LinearWaves
Hey LinearWaves,
Good to know that you are being productive. Statistics are not an easy matter, and doing it by yourself, that's great! Good that you could run and endure. And yes, sleep has been a setback for many of us, maybe we need to start a special support group for night owls. Calm and maturity are very useful skills nowadays and always, good that you can be that way at difficult moments.
Good luck with the workout session and the Spanish lessons next week.
Hasta pronto.
@Traveller8
Muchas gracias por tus *supportive* palabras haha !
I totally agree that sleep support could do some good, although it seems quite hard to find the one tip that works on us sleep-wise…
Take care !
@LinearWaves
Hey there Waves!
Wow.. sounds like you have been really productive over the past week! ... I'm so glad to hear that you continuing to keep up with your fitness goals. Including both cardio and strength activities!.. (I'm lacking on the strength part) I need to get in more. You are really doing a great job with this "time" that we have to do it.
Sorry to hear that you got behind on your sleep. I surely know firsthand what a difference that can make in the rest of our day (or week) ahead. I do hope that you can realize the "cause" of it and perhaps continue to move forward and work on that (or those) factors that played a part. But its great that your lack of sleep is not preventing you from keeping up with your physical activities and keeping up with your goals!
I am SOO VERY sorry to hear about the fight with your mom.... Yikes~
.. But I'm proud of you to hear that despite what happened, you were able to keep your composure with it!! And that even after all of that, it still turned out to be a Positive week for you!.. Perhaps the "fight" you had with one another gave you a chance to "get out" whats been bothering you about one another?? And perhaps it can help you both moving forward? (One can hope right?!)
I hope that you get your "work situation" figured out soon and that you are able to be at peace with whatever the decisions are going to be regarding it.....Its great that in the meantime, that you will continue to keep focused on the plans and goals you have for yourself with working out and continuing to learn Spanish (and statistics)!
I think I can understand your comment and how you feel when you say about "time going so fast, but also feeling really long as well).. I get that. And can relate to that. But its all good... One day we might perhaps look back on all this and be like "Did any of this really happen"??!. perhaps like a distant memory.
Please continue to take care of yourself and stay safe! Thank you so much for continuing to check in and let us know how you've been doing!
@PoliteOcean
Thanks for your encouraging words!
Yes that fight was another chance to get out some things but it
@PoliteOcean
hello! hope everyone is well
this past week has been pretty okay i guess , some kind of an emotional rollercoaster of experiencing extreme boredom vs motivation xD i was able to spend some time with a friend (with distance!), we went outside and took a long walk in the nature, that was definitely a highlight.oh and i also discovered a really good healthy breakfast, which doesnt give me stomach aches (for the first time).
April.... i guess many can relate but April has been difficult for most of the people, with all going on in the world right now. But some positive things would be, since having so much free time, discovering things about myself and learning who i am and who i want to be! one word i would choose to sum it up would be: unexpected
some changes i would like to see would be keeping on having a healthy diet, doing some sports but not excessively, and just trying to make the best out of this whole situation. i would like to, even if it sounds silly, stop complaining so much and trying to exercise gratitude more often.
some things i would like to accomplish in this last week of the month would be doing all my homework and tasks on time (its hard since i sometimes have no motivation) and just trying to spend some time outside if possible.
@AveryLove
Hello AveryLove,
Extremely boredom is at times unavoidable, but is a reminder of all the things we took for granted and now we are learning to value better. On the other side is great that you've found motivation, keep on doing that. Glad to hear that you were able to go out with a friend. Take all the chances you can grab.
You will surely accomplish your goal of keeping a healthy diet, keep us updated. And the best words of your post, something we should all agree, let's stop complaining and excercise gratitude. Count me in.
Read you next week.
@AveryLove
Not complaining so much isnt a silly thing at all ! I find it ends up very connected with gratitude and helps staying positive when youd usually be bothered by something. I still have lots of progresses to do on that as well, but something that has been helping me (just sharing in case it can help you as well in some way!) is to try to reflect and find the positives in situations afterwards, especially after a bad thing or after having complained about something. I feel that thinking about it afterwards is now starting to help me see the positive also right in the moment and be more and more able to put things into perspective.
Take care!
@AveryLove
Hey there Avery! Its so great to hear from you!...
So sorry to hear that things have been kind of a roller-coaster for you... I know its been a challenging time for many. But despite that, its so good that you were able to just get outside and enjoy the moment (and friendships even if at a distance!).. And how awesome to find food you enjoy that doesn't give you any issues!... Yay!
"UNEXPECTED".. YES!.. What a way to sum up the month of April.. I think I could agree on that one. Surely none of this was expected at all... or that so many of us would be dealing with a time like we are in right now.
I think the goals and plans you have for yourself moving forward in this are great ones!...and yes..just continuing to make the best of things until this starts to die down a bit... I love your idea of learning to express gratitude more! I think we should all do that during this time!...I agree
I hope that you are able to get all your homework done and continue to spend some time outdoors (safely of course!).. As I'm sure it would do some good! Just being in the fresh air and sunshine can make such an improvement in the way we feel.
Thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing! Great to see you!

Hello CaringHeart,
Glad to hear that you did well this month, positive and energetic and making good use of the time. The word you chose, resilience, that's a good one. We all need a lot of it. Thank you for reminding us,
You seem very determined about your purposes for next month. Mindmap won't be a problem, hope you get the job you want.
See you next week.
@CaringHeart0921
Wow. I really love your check-in!
LOTS of Wisdom there!... (Resilience, Structure)!.. Both great things!
I hope that all the goals and plans that you see for yourself in the month ahead work out for you in the fullest!...
"Things are moving even if they are not obvious or visible"... ( I love this quote)... It makes me really "think" in a good way! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you so much for checking in this past week and letting us know how things have been going for you!
This week had its ups and downs but overall I consider it a smashing success!
April was tough, but easier than past months! I get the hang of life more and more as I go through it.
Survival!
I'd like to see my attitude change. I'm always working on it of course, but it's so important for me to keep up a positive outlook consistently!
This last week I hope to catch up on stuff I missed this week past, clean up the apartment (it's been kind of neglected!), finish my laundry, finish some commissions, and generally wrap up April so that May can start off right!
@betterchoices
Hi Betterchoices,
The positive attitude is contagious. Well done that "Smashing success!!" Also your vision of April being less hard than previous months means you'll be doing better next month. You are clearly doing more than just survive
Go on for you immediate goals, Keep us updated. Thank you for sharing.
@betterchoices
Hey there! So great that you had such a great week.
Sorry to hear that April was such a tough month for you.. I'm sure it was for many with everything going on around us all at once.
I think its awesome that you are wanting to work on your "Attitude"! Good for you!.. I think maybe I might need to do the same as well when it comes to some things.... So good luck to you on accomplishing that!
I hope that you are able to get all the things done that you set out to do! And that you (and all of us) can Ring in the month of MAY in an awsome way!!
Thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you are doing!
How have you been over this past week? - This past week has been okay. Been keeping busy but have been struggling alot with my mental health.
**This is our LAST CHECKIN for the month of APRIL! How do you feel this past month went for you Overall? - I think it was a pretty good month. More boring then anything. I miss being able to travel
**If you could choose ONE word to Sum up the Month of APRIL for yourself, what would it be? - Boring
**What things would you like to see change for yourself in the New month ahead of us? - This month I haven't been eating the best, so I would like to get back to eating healthy and doing yoga. I have really been slacking off.
**What are things you look forward to accomplishing for yourself in this last week of the month? - I want to finish a book that I started forever ago and I would like to get back into shape.
**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" over this past week?
A "Hightlight" has been I got to see my one friend ( being safe) and a "struggle" has been my mental health. I've been wanting to SH and drink again. I haven't and I think I would hate myself if I started but so far I've been able to fight it so I guess that is a highlight in it's self haha.
@Goldcherry2113
Hey there...
Sorry to hear that you've been having some mental health struggles.. I know how challenging that can be. But its so good that you are staying busy. Sometimes that can help.
I agree with you.. (even despite the times that we have been in) that it was still a pretty decent month!...And I'm like you, I miss being able to travel just yet as we usually start planning beach get-aways around this time...
You have some great goals for yourself in the new month ahead regarding eating healthier and getting back into your Yoga. Perhaps if it seems to daunting to jump right back into things.... Maybe starting small, like taking "one meal a day" at a time... or Choosing 1-2 days a week for 10, 15 or 20 minutes to get some Yoga in? ..... The goals that you have for yourself are surely very attainable! You can do it, and (Now is the time for sure) while we are all stuck in these moments together. Just think of all the positive things you can accomplish in this next month ahead, (as we work on returning to a better balance and perhaps some type of more normacly).
I'm so GLAD that you were able to avoid SH and drinking!... Yay for you!! You should be and feel so very proud of yourself for having control over those feelings! Its great that you were able to see a friend of yours "safely" and to have that be a positive highlight of your week. Perhaps you can plan more times like that to help keep your spirits and mental health in a good place?! Or make a list maybe? Of things/projects you can work on and enjoy during this time that you are feeling "bored" or "low". Perhaps a checklist of sorts that can keep you on track and busy throughout your days so that you don't even have time to think about the 'Stressors" or the "low points"!...
Thank you so much for sharing your week and your feelings. And for checking in with us this week and letting us know how you've been doing!
