**This past week went pretty well, and thankfully pretty fast!... Stayed on Track with everything (Meals, Water intake, Workouts/activity, and even Sleep!).... I also kept up with all my appointments which ended up being 6 this week if you count my classes........Taught all 3 of my classes this week. The weather is still so Humid, and made for some great sweaty classes and even greater calorie burn! Was able to get in some Swim time in the pool this week with it being so nice out.....And daily walks with my Fur-baby~

**On a personal note, I love Summer SOOO much, and this Summer seems to be going by so fast. I can't believe we are nearly half way through August. And it just started~ ......While our FALL is beautiful and warm here, and winters are really Mild with rarely any snow, I really would like to move where its Sunny or "Summer-ish" year round! And have been thinking of this more and more. Its a great stress reducer for me, and overall Mental Health is even better. Just not sure how to convince the hubby yet~

**No major plans for the weekend, but will continue to remain on track with an early morning Group Fitness class & meals planned ahead for the day. I also found a really cool Consignment Shop that not only Sells, but "BUYS" clothes and you get cash on the spot!... I have SOOO many clothes and have already made 3 trips to this place. And intend to plan another one for this weekend. The extra cash has been really helpful towards other needed things!

ENJOY THE WEEKEND AHEAD~

@PoliteOcean

hi there, thank you for the check in! my week has been a stressful one unfortunately, i've been in a tough spot as of lately that i'm trying to get out of and get myself back on track. i haven't really met my goals set for this month yet in entirety, but i'm hoping to move forward once i gain enough courage. support and listening as always is more than helpful to me <3 one of the healthiest things i've done this past week is i took the time for myself to figure out why i feel the way i do and making a plan to set that in action when i feel ready to. i also was sure to draw a little more and go outside more. this weekend i can draw more, try to reach out to people i know more, and get back on track with my narrative. the best part about 7 cups for me this past week has been the listeners and the growth path, i've been really grateful for those. as for my highlights and challenges, i had a hard time with my feelings and my memories from trauma this week. i found myself feeling more numb and dialed down and it's a really concerning thing to me because i'm usually really emotional and excitable but all the stress and the anxiety just kind of caved in on me i suppose which made me disconnect for a while. i've been feeling a little better, but anxiety still stays. i can tend to forget my coping mechanisms when i'm stuck in my head, but i've been doing the best i can. i've been really nervous to start my narrative up again, because i know i should since i didn't get closure from leaving it off on the most difficult part for me, but i guess it's just intimidating. i really don't like feeling numb and not being able to really feel things deep inside of me like i usually do and it's been hard how i don't feel as close to people i love like this and it makes me scared and think up all these scenarios and feelings i don't truly have. i'm grateful that atleast i had important conversations, watched a movie i've been waiting a long time for, and played a game i love atleast. i know i'll be able to get over this rut, even if it's hard and stressful in the meantime

Hey there!... You are so welcome for the checkin! Always glad to read up on your week and others!....
So sorry to hear that you had a stressful one sad. I totally understand how that can be. But its great that you are working to try to get yourself back on track!... Its ok if you haven't quite met the goals that you had set for yourself within the month. None of us are perfect and the good thing is that we don't have to be! Thats why we just keep trying! And do what is best for ourselves each day. Even when that means taking some time to ourselves, working on self care a bit! And I see that you have done that! And that is SOOO Incredibly Healthy!! You keep up the awesome work that you are doing there and in making a plan for yourself (when you are ready)!
Awesome job on drawing more, and going outside more! Yay for you!yes
And How great for you that your experience here at 7cups with the listeners and growth path have been so successful for you this week!

Sorry to hear that you are having a hard time with your feelings (and memories) due to your trauma. Its so great and brave of you though to admit those feelings! And everything you are feeling is simply a normal process for what you have been through and going through. And thats ok. And its great to hear that you are doing the best you can, and that you have coping mechanisms to refer to when you need them and are ready to use them.

Its so lovely that your highlight is "feeling grateful" despite what you are feeling and dealing with! And that you had some important conversations in your week, watched a movie (that you obviously enjoyed)!... and played a game that you loved! These are some really great things to surely be grateful for. And its so good that you were able to enjoy them during a stressful time in your life. And that you allowed yourself to take (and make time) to do them! We are so proud of you!

Please continue to keep up the great work that you are doing for yourself. And thank you so much for taking the time to stop by to share with us this week!... Please continue to keep us updated on how you are continuing to do! heart

Thank you for sharing your week. It definitely sounds like it was a stressful week. But I think it's really hopeful that you have a plan to return to the place that you want to be after going through a hard period. This is good to hear because I am willing to bet that lots of us get some place we want to be, and then something causes stress and we don't know where to find all the positive feeling we had before it, at least I willing to bet that there is a good likelihood of it happening to me when something comes along to derail me. Thank you for your ability to still look ahead through the stress. I hope I can keep your determination to get over your rut in my mind when I find myself in the next one.smiley

@crimsonChestnut5482 thank you for your lovely reply crimson, it means a lot to me. i agree lots that stress can be a big setback sometimes and we can start to feel lost, but now that i'm feeling better than i was since i've written this, it's safe to say that it's possible to find your way back again!! i wish you the best, whether you find yourself in a rut or not, and know that as long as you keep pushing and looking within yourself and doing your best to cope, that you're going to be okay and you'll find the positivity and strive again, as long as you don't give up <3

@PoliteOcean Here's how the past week went. Monday I went grocery shopping and also for a walk. Wednesday I went to acupuncture and also for a walk. The fact I was able to do two things in the same day means I'm getting stronger. Friday Deysi's car broke down so I had to cancel physical therapy. I've been depressed about money lately, due to something going on with my mother's estate. I've been cocooning lately, laying down even when I'm not tired. Being a chronic pain patient is very draining after 16 years. On a lighter note, I reconnected with a long lost friend. I wish there hadn't been such a long time since we talked but he's a difficult person to get a hold of. We had a good conversation. My sister Kathryn sent me a box of supplements. It takes a while for new supplements to have an impact, so hopefully I'll see some good results. For this upcoming week, Monday I have an appointment with my homeopath, Wednesday I have acupuncture, and Thursday I have a psychiatry appointment. I going to ask for a stronger anti-depressent. I hosted the sharing circle 5 times this week. The fact that I hosted it 5 times means I'm getting stronger.

Hey there Regmo!... Awesome job again on your walk (and your trip to the grocery store). I know how great it is for you to be able to get out and about so often. And to get those walks in for yourself. And for being able to get one in on Wednesday as well!... Way to go on staying active!.....Great job! AND I totally agree on you "getting stronger"!... I remember back when you first started posting here. Just the changes I see (and read about each week) over the course of that time, has been so amazing and such an improvement in your life!
Sorry to hear that you had to cancel your therapy....And that you have been depressed about money. I know how challenging that can be. And Its ok to take the rest that you feel you need. (Even if not tired). We have to listen to our bodies, especially when we (and our bodies) are going through things or even trying to work against us. Its ok to push through when you are able, or to take a step back when needed. As I'm sure 16 years has been rather difficult.
How awesome on being able to reconnect with your friend. Sounds fun. And good conversation is always nice to enjoy. Thats great for you. Hopefully you both won't lose touch, and you can continue to catch up with one another more regularly!....... How nice of your sister to send you some supplements! And hopefully as you stated, they will help and give you some the results you are looking for. Sounds like you have another busy week ahead of you. I had like 3-4 appointments myself last week. Which is kind of crazy all in one week. So hope it all goes well. And good for you for being able to be your own advocate and ask for what you need. They should be able to assist you with that. And again, great job on the sharing circle! Pretty soon you might be up to an entire full 7-day week!! You are doing an amazing job Regmo. You really are. Keep it up!.. We are here for you. Thanks for checking in this week, sharing, and continuing to always keep us updated on things!

Hey there! Awesome job to you pn taking (and making) the time to organize your scheduile and manage your time better!
When we take the time to do these things for ourselves, it can surely help to manage the stressors of the day, and to not feel overwhelmed by things in the moment. It can can be so great to have things planned out and help to keep us on track!
Great job to you on doing that for yourself! Thanks for stopping by to check in and for updating us on your week!

Was in the hospital Thursday to Saturday, so not the greatest week.

Need to have a procedure to open blockages in some arteries.

Had the same procedure last year, so I’m familiar with it. Just hope it relieves my chronic discomfort and fatigue.

Hey there!...
Wow, so sorry to hear that you had to be in the hospital during those days. I'm sure it was challenging for you to deal with at the time. Its sounds though that it was for a very good cause and to get a potentinally dangerous health situation under control before getting worse! It so great that you were able to get the care that you needed during that time. And we are here for you and to support you in any way that we can. We are so glad that you are doing well. And we hope that you find the relief from the procedure that you desire.
We appreciate you stopping by again this week to continue to keep us updated on how things are going with you. And we appreciate you taking the time to share with us. Please continue to keep us informed on how you are continuing to do with everything! Thanks for checking in!

**This past week for me went just as it needed to be, it was well enjoyable, i was able to do all of the things concerned to my baby and it made me feel great.

**My weekly check-in this time will be different, i want to share something with the community...

**Today I was watching program on Netflix that I like and I think that automatically I started to talk with myself about one guy on the program, about how he acts with the others, how critical he is, how he doesn’t feel happy for the accomplishments of their colleagues, how jealous is he about not getting what his colleagues gets.

As soon as I caught myself judging his behaviors and actions I stopped to write this note with the objective to share here.

Some people say that the things that we criticize about others are the things that we must observe in ourselves. I hear this all the time.

So I took sometime to think if I have something in common with this guy on the program that i automatically started to ''criticize'' and I came to the conclusion that yes, I do have. I mean I used to act like him and sometimes i still act like him. I just have done this today and when i realized my behavior i felt kinda bad and upset with myself, but then after sometime i felt like i don't need to feel bad or upset with myself because of my behavior, the reason is: even if i did it, i was also able to perceive how i was acting and to stop doing that.

**The message that i would like to share with the community is, even if we do something that make us feel bad or upset about ourselves we do not have to feel this way because we have the power to stop and think about it and the most important, to change and learn from it. We are all humans and we all make mistakes, we don't need to be so hard on ourselves.

Wishing you all a great week ahead.smiley

Hey there Cosmic!
So good to hear that your week was what you hoped for and that it was an enjoyable one for you! And that you were able to get things you need to get done taken care of!

And wow! What a powerful realization for yourself and message to the us here in the community! You are so very right, "WE" ourselves, have the power to learn from everything we do (or don't do) each day, and to learn. There is "Always" something to learn. Never stop learning. About yourself, about others, or about things in life in general. And constantly strive to be your 'best self". Whatever that is. And yes, we can also be our own worst critics. So we of all, should learn to be more caring and considerate towards ourselves. (Sometimes easier said than done for some). But also something that we can work on day by day, little by little.

Thank you so much for stopping by to share this message with everyone, and your insights. You always have such deep thoughts and perspectives to share with us! And its appreciated for sure!

Hope that things are going well for you and that your week is going good for you so far! And thank you so much for simply coming to share and check-in and let us know how you are doing! We appreciate you :)

** Hey Everyone~ How has your week been for you? Very challenging. . . Ive been in bed exhausted since Saturday. This had been the first day I had some energy at all.

** Another week has ended & This is our 2nd Check-in for the Month of AUGUST~ How are you doing with the goals that you set for yourself this month? This month I feel very stuck. . . doctor appointments. . . so many tests. . . and it's not over. I am just glad I can rest this week. Plus our budgt got all over this because I am more freaked out over my health issue.
In what ways can we help you in your goals? I am seeking a friend and listener. (I need someone constant, not just a one or two time thing.)

**What is the "HEALTHIEST" thing that you've done for yourself this past week? What is something you did for Self Care?! I try to take things one at a time and I try my best to go to my doctor appointments,

**On weekends sometimes we tend to get off track or lose sight of our goals. What is ONE Healthy Thing that you could do for yourself "This weekend"?
I was drinking more water and I got rest.

** What was the BEST part about 7cups for you this past week? I got to talk to my guy

** What have been your "Highlights or Challenges" this past week? Today is my deceased ex birthday. He would have been 41. I keep eating myself because I feel I didn't do enough for him. There is a weird dark thought that if I had done more than he would have still be alive, (in reality he had aggressive cancer and the doctor did an needy surgery because they didn't do what they were suppose to do in th first place. However I keep blaming myself.)
I am also under extreme anxiety because I got blood work results back and my hormone cortisol is very off. However my symptoms have my body saying the opposite. . . I'm confused, scared, and feel like the doctor who pushed the test doesn't care.

** What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us about your Week?! WE want to hear from you! Please send positive vibe. . . prayers. . . I just want answers and how to fix my health. I know losing weight will help, but it is NOT the completely answer to my health issues.

Hey there Rebekah~ Great to hear from you this week.
Sorry to hear that your week was challenging. Do you know why you've felt so tired and exhausted for such a lengthy time? Is it due to the physical things going on, or is it mental/emotional exhaustion? Seems like if its something that continues you might want to let your physician know if its causing you to stay in bed for so long?

Sorry to hear that you are still feeling stuck in your situations. I know it can be difficult when it feels like you are living week to week trynig to figure things out with appointments & test etc... trying to find answers. And not really living for yourself. Hopefully you will get the answers you need soon!

Sorry to hear that you are still looking for a "personal ongoing listener". I know how challenging it can be to find "just the right one" who knows just the right things to say. And can take many tries. Good thing is that we have such a big database here of listeners, and new ones who come everyday. How often are you in the group support rooms? Not sure how often you go into those, but that is also a good way to get to know some of the listeners here as well on a more personal level. And see what they are about, how they interact with members etc.... And maybe you could reach out to one from there as well?

That is really great that you are taking things slowly, and as needed for yourself at this time. We just have to listen to ourselves and our bodies. And to not overwhelm yourself. And its awesome that you are continuing to do your best to keep up with your Doctor appointments. Thats really important in trying to get your health situations under control so that you hopefully start to feel better soon. And its so great that you were able to do something healthy for yourself this weekend despite how you were feeling, and able to get that water in while you also rested! Good Job to you!. Staying hydrated is so important even if you aren't feeling the best.

Sorry to hear about your ex....And that you are having some feelings of guilt over that situation. And its understandable and also "human" to have those feelings. But just know that you alone were not responsible for what you were unable to control.

Hopefully you will also be able to learn more going forward about your blood work and levels. And that a proper plan can be put into place going forwards. If you feel that this doctor isn't doing his best, its very important that you are able to advocate that for yourself. Or find a different doctor if need be.

Positive vibes your way that you will continue to move forwards in finding the answers that you seek regarding your health. I know how difficult it can be to want answers sooner rather than later. And all the emotions that surround that don't help either. And can make you feel worse. Hopefully you are finding ways to self-soothe and that are helping you and your body to relax some in the meantime while you are awaiting those answers.

Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing and whats been going on. Was wondering where you been and how things have been going. Thanks for sharing this week and keeping us up to date.

** Hey Everyone~ How has your week been for you? -- A bit tiring because my sleep has not been good. However, my kids came home from a two-month visit to their dad's home in another state, so that made this week go much more quickly. And that was great. I also had a couple of really good conversations with my mom about some "baggage" things.

** Another week has ended & This is our 2nd Check-in for the Month of AUGUST - How are you doing with the goals you set for yourself this month? -- So so. I have an anxiety about something that I think has turned into a phobia, and so I have only been able to deal with the matter a bit. I managed to do one of the things that I really need to do, but there are a couple more that I really need to get done.

In what ways can we help you with your goals? -- Something to do with helping undo phobias would be really helpful, especially since exposue therapy would not be helpful.

**What is the "HEALTHIEST" thing that you've done for yourself this past week? What is something you did for Self Care?! -- I get a lot of exercise, and I needed a couple of naps this week (I work nights) and so I took them

**On weekends sometimes we tend to get off track or lose sight of our goals. What is ONE Healthy Thing that you could do for yourself "This weekend"? Cook something healthy for my family; we always enjoy eating together.

** What was the BEST part about 7cups for you this past week? -- I actually have really found it comfortably to talk with people in the chats, and I have found it comfortable to post in communities. I typically hang back until I have sussed things out, so I was glad to discover that I didn't feel I needed to do that here.

** What have been your "Highlights or Challenges" this past week? -- I made some progress in sorting out my "baggage", but the challenge will be in comfortably sharing it all with my therapist.

** What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us about your Week?! WE want to hear from you! -- I have found working on the growth path very helpful. While becoming a listener has turned out to be something I like to do, I do think the way people end up doing the preliminary training is not well presented. Having the REQUIREMENT to do the training in order to progress on the growth path, and then to be dumped into your listener account immediately, is not the way to make friends and infuence people, as the saying goes. It's not right to push something on people who might not be ready for it, but are desirous of looking into their own feelings and behavior, to refuse to allow them that growth. It is very much a case of changing the rules in the middle of the game.

Hi there Chestnut!...
Sorry to hear that your week was tiring for you due to the lack of sleep that you've been getting. I know how that can feel.
And wow!, 2 months?! How did you feel during that time? What things were you able to do, enjoy, or get done!
And thats great that you were able to have some good conversations with you mom. Its so great to have great conversation with people that actually care to really sit and listen.

Sorry to hear that you've been dealing with anxiety which in turn you feel could be causing some other issues for you as well. I know how challenging that can be to deal with. I see you say you have only been able to deal with it a "bit". But the positive there is that you have recognized the situation. And that you are at least dealing with it. Its better than ignoring the concern you have. So great job to you there. We hope that you will be able to contine to do well in this situation and move forwards and beyond from it...... How awesome for you though that you were able to do and get done something that you really needed to do.

Its so good that you would like to continue with your goals of working towards helping with your phobias. There are different ways to go about that. Sometimes talking about them, and sharing them with someone can make it seem less "scary" or stressful. And you can do that with here with one of our many listeners, a Support Leader of our HL team, and 7cups also offers online therapy here as well for a fee. So there are options you can think on, and figure out whats works best for you.

That is really awesome that you enjoy and get alot of exercise in!.. Great work! How often do you work out each week? What types of exercise do you like and enjoy? And great jobs on getting those naps in! Proper rest and sleep is so important. I used to work the Nightshift too for about 10years. So I truly understand about getting those naps in when and wherever you can get them!

How nice that you and your family enjoy eating together! Thats really lovely that you all make time to do that with one another. And cooking something healthy "on a weekend" is amazing! Weekends tend to be challenging for some. So its really great that you were able to make it a healthy one for you and your family! Way to stay on track!

Thats is so great to hear that you are finding it comfortable here to be able to talk with others here in teh chats and post in our communities here! We are so glad to hear that you are doing well here. And that your experience seems to be a really good one!

Great job on being able to sort out some things for yourself. And its great that you have a therapist for yourself where you can continue to work on things over time. Progress is progress. And thats still a good thing.

That is really good to hear that you enjoy working on the growth path here! Some people find them confusing or have many questions. So its great that you are finding it to be a good experience for yourself. And as far as your concerns regarding the training, emailing " Community@7cups.com " can help to voice those concerns, and make those suggestions. And might help others as well who may feel the same way.

We appreciate you stopping by this week to check in with us and letting us know how your week has gone for you. We hope to hear more on how you are continuing to do!
