@PoliteOcean
Omg puppy birthday :o *pets doggo*
I hit a new personal running record: 5 kilometers in 27:03 minutes! I didn't start my run with the expectation of doing 5 kilometers. My goal was to improve my time for 1 kilometer from 6:30 minutes to somewhere under 6:00 minutes. I managed the first kilometers in a little over 5:00 minutes, and I thought to myself, "Why not try and do it again?" Finished the second kilometer at ~10:00 minutes. "Why not again?" Finished the third kilometer at ~16:00 minutes. Welp, looks like I'm too tired to keep my pace at roughly 5 minutes per kilometer. But, I was 3 kilometers in and I figured, "Why not try and do a 5K?" Hit the fourth kilometer at ~22:00 minutes and the final, fifth kilometer, at 27:03 minutes.
Other than that, I'm finally done with my midterm exams and that pesky paper. I managed to not squeeze my rubber duck during any of my exams. But, I do have final exams in two weeks *womp womp woooomp*. I've also been trying to figure out how to start a podcast. Mostly so I can practice my speech since I've been in speech therapy for over a year now and I'd like to put in more practice to that. First of all, I need to figure out what I'll be talking about in my podcast. As a college student, there isn't much that I'm an expert in. I also lack the necessary sass to be a witty comedian. I guess I can use it as practice to become a comedian? I'll figure it out.
@PoliteOcean This week has been alright. Been working mostly. I haven't had much time to work out, but my job keeps me moving :)
@Mellietronx
A+ for keeping moving despite busy-ness. It may not be a high intensity workout, but those regular movements and walks make an impact!
The air was nice yesterday, I got out into the garden for a little while. Will probably go out again today in a little while.
I am sleeping a ton. This past week I was sitting lots and was still tired out but didn't seem to be getting much extra sleep. I think the breathing difficulties/coughing interfered to much. My breathing isn't 100% right now, but I'm not constantly feeling short of breath.
I hope to get to my workout this week, if the air quality is decent I should be able to. Hoping I can do similar level of weight, the pace might need to be dropped down a bit though depending on how much I've recovered by then. Carrying around some watering cans this week might give me a better indication. I haven't done any garden watering since this happened, even on good air days. The added strain of carrying around something with weight seemed like too much.
@AffyAvo
I hope the air quality where you are is good enough for you to get in your workout this week!
Hi. This past week has been ok. I feel like I need to do more exercise though as I have barely done any and should probably start eating healthier too. I'll be trying to work on doing more exercise this week!
This past week, I started my internship. It was a stressful start because it started on Tuesday and I wanted to be ready for it. But as the week went on I did my task piece by piece and it wasn't as overwhelming as I thought. I cut out early morning to do the necessary tasks, then I relax and enjoy the rest of the day with my own things balanced with chats on 7Cups.
@BlindFaith
Congrats on starting your internship! It's a difficult transition to take on more responsibility. Know that you can do things at your own pace and have a great community to support you.
Last week was much better for me. 2 weeks ago I had a massive anxiety attack and it took a few days to recoup. So I started walking again - I found a safer route from my house and my goal is to work up to doing the route twice - that would give me around a 5k. I also started some meal prepping and it's really paying off. I'm in the middle of a 30 day straight of working between the different jobs., so I'm trying to remember to give myself some slack at not getting all the housework and yardwork done everyday.
