**ANY & ALL "NEWBIES" ARE WELCOME TO SHARE!!**
**This week has gone well... It was kind of busy. I got back to teaching my first Zumba Gold class for the first time in the last month. That went well.... It was nice to see all my little ladies again.... I managed to stay on track with eating and water and for the most part with sleep...I had several appointments this week which kept me busy as well.
**The weather has been decent and with milder temps. So I was finally able to get out this past week and get several walks in with both my mom in the morning as well as my husband in the evenings. I only taught my 'one' Zumba Gold class this past week.... Starting next week, my plan is to go back to teaching my Regular Zumba class as well for the first time in the past month..... I feel that I'm ready and kind of excited to get back to it....I love to dance and that is my "first" fitness passion.... I'm going to take time off from teaching POUND classes though to allow my knee and body some rest and ease myself back into teaching that at some point. .....Since POUND is a little more intense, I feel this is the best choice to make at this time. The only thing is not exactly knowing "How" to tell my Studio Manager that I am taking time off from that. She has been doing her best to try to run this place since taking over, and trying to maintain the "clientele" as well and its been up and down. I know she wants to have POUND on the schedule and there aren't many instructors that teach this format in my area. But, I have to do whats best for me at this time..... I have been recruiting the same Instructor to be my Substitute for the past month, and I just don't want to feel like I am taking advantage of her kindness of helping me out. So I'm going to have to suck it up and get my manager to figure out something.
**Today is supposed to be my FREE day, and there is supposed to be the Bi-monthly POUND event at the local Warehouse, and its the St. Patricks Day Pound Class event as well... I really want to go, but since I made the decision to take a break from this for the moment, I have decided to not to.. and I'm kind of upset about it since I was supposed to help "lead" some songs. I'm hoping that by the end of the month I can get back to it (the Bi-monthly events at least)!... But, I am thinking of attending my friends Zumba class in the morning instead just to get some activity in as well as get my body ready for teaching come Monday....I also have a few errands to run today as well~~
ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND!~ ![]()
**How have you all been doing this past week?!
good! past week was really great, spend great time with my boyfriend & friends & family.
**We are currently at the "MID-POINT" of March already!.. How has this month been going for you so far?!
eventful! in march, my life has changed completely - in a positive way!
*Tomorrow is ST. PATRICKS DAY! How many of you celebrate this day? If so what events do you do or enjoy on this day?
I do not celebrate it myself, but happy St. Patricks Day to all of you who are celebrating!
**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" this past week?
Highlights: Boyfriend, that i did well at my geography exam, bought new clothes :P
Struggles: did not good on my math exam, worrying about being able to maintain a long distance relationship in the future!
**What are your weekend Plans?!
Today I will have to study for my german exam & math exam, but besides that my boyfriend is coming over and in the evening i will meet some friends! And tomorrow, not sure yet!
@AveryLove
Hey there Avery!
Sounds like things are continuing to go quite well for you! You sound quite positive about things in your life as well as the changes in it...
Hopefully things will go better on your next math exam and that you will be able to figure out things regarding the pending distance in your relationship.
Its great you are making plans to do more studying towards the math and hopefully that will help with your scores on the next exam!...Maybe you can figure out what your weaker points are and study those things first?
Sounds like you have a fun weekend planned ahead with your boyfriend and friends! Dont' party too hard!
Thanks for checking in this week and letting us know how things are going for you!
@PoliteOcean
**How have you all been doing this past week?! I have been doing pretty ok :)
**We are currently at the "MID-POINT" of March already!.. How has this month been going for you so far?! So far, so good!
**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" this past week? I started a mental health support group at my church and that's been awesome! I pulled my back out earlier this week and that was a struggle.
**What are your weekend Plans?! Rest today, work tomorrow
@Mellietronx
Hey Mellie!
I'm so glad to hear that the Mental Health group at your church is going so well!.. That truly is awesome. So glad to hear that its helping and that its been beneficial for you!
Sorry to hear that you pulled your back out! I really dislike when that happens. Do you know what caused it? Did you have an accident or did it just come on all of a sudden? How have you been doing as far as being able to "funtion" with it being hurt?
Thanks for checking in this week and letting us know how things are going, please check back and let us know how you are doing.
@PoliteOcean
Oh and cabbage and apples, it's a simple humble dish. Fried cabbage (it gets caramelized and crisy when sliced thin, like pasta) apples, red onion and garlic. It might be an aquired taste. Cabbage was on sale and I wanted to do something healthy, veer away from the corned beef and potatoes.
Thank you again for being so welcoming. =)
@PoliteOcean Thank you!
I think I just slept weird on my back. But it's been feeling close to normal today :)
@PoliteOcean
**How have you all been doing this past week?! To be honest, I've been struggling quite a lot recently and I hope this is just a phase. But I've been here before and I slipped into depression so this scares me. But, this time I have a support network and I know my options so I just need to work out where my head is at and work out what to do.
**We are currently at the "MID-POINT" of March already!.. How has this month been going for you so far?! See above. I tried to dye my hair, dip dye it darker at the bottom, and it failed massively today. My hair looks bad in my opinion, so I'm going to re-try to do it tomorrow but I guess it's only hair and it can be cut and it grows. I have to remember that.
**March is "NUTRITION MONTH"....Have you taken part in any of the Nutrition Events or Discussions this month? If so what is something you learned that you didn't know? What interesting tips did you take with you?! I haven't taken part in any of the Nutrition Events or Discussions this month, I didn't realise there were any as I have been focussing on my roles and long term listening.
**Tomorrow is ST. PATRICKS DAY! How many of you celebrate this day? If so what events do you do or enjoy on this day? I had heard that it was St. Patricks Day tomorrow when I was looking for conversation topics with my ex, i want to become better friends with her again. I don't celebrate this day.
**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" this past week? My "Highlight" this week would be reaching the one month mark with my boyfriend. A "Struggle" has been my mental health and break downs.
**What are your weekend Plans?! To sort out my hair, get on top of my homework, and talk to my boyfriend
@peacefullistener22
Hi, just a quick side note, I had to fix my hair this weekend, it was way too dark. I found this truck, did it and it WORKED. I couldn't believe it. Vitamin C powder ( I crushed vitamin c tabs) mixed with Head and Shoulders dandruff shampoo. It lifts dye out of hair. Mine is really, really long, many years of medium brown and the the bottom half soaked in too much dye over the years. I was so frustrated.
So anyway, I did this and it left me several shades lighter. I couldn't believe it. I read it's more effective when it's newly colored.
Sorry, I couldn't help but share this! When I discovered it I was like, how could I never have known this?!
@peacefullistener22
Hey there!
Sorry to hear that you are struggling.. Depression is no joke And No fun to deal with. I know it can be quite challenging.But.. on a positive note, Its really great that you have a support network! That is So very important!
Sorry to hear about the hair situation!
... But its great that you are remaining positive about it and able to realize your options as far as cutting it, or trying to re-dye it again.
Its nice that you are reaching your one month anniversary. That is a positive thing to celebrate, focus on and look forward to..... I hope that you are able to engage in all of your plans for the weekend ahead! Thanks so much for checking in this week to let us know how you've been doing! Please check back and keep us up to date on everything and let us know how your doing and how the "Hair" situation turns out! .... (Sounds like @Firefly2021 may have a great suggestion for you above?!)
Glad to hear you are starting to getting back to your exercise classes. Will celebrate St Patricks day with corn beef and Irish Soda bread. Weather has been good, The other day in the 70s F, which came just in time, and gave me a boost to start moving faster. Overall things have gone well and still eating healthy. Keeping myself aware of the importance of good nutrition Glad winter is finally behind us. Even had one of the plants in the basement flower this week. Will still be several weeks before moving plants outside. Sure sign Spring is near. Enjoy your weekend,
@sail46
Hey Sail!
Sounds like things are continuing to go quite well for you! Thats really great that you are staying on track and continuing to keep up on top of things....Its great that your weather is cooperating where you are.. I can't believe that Spring is only a few short days away! I didn't actually realize just how close it was until I realized the date! lol...(In my mind I kept saying "its just a few weeks away" but now its actually "Less" than a week away). The buds on the trees and such are already starting to bloom here and the grass is starting to get greener. Finally! ....I'm glad to hear that you got yourself a "boost" with the weather. Sounds like you have a "Green-Thumb" like my mom. She can do anything with plants and flowers.... I have no such luck at taking care of those things. But I LOVE keeping flowers in my house when I "receive" them. I am going to try to give it a go at getting some "Ferns" this year though for my front porch, I hear they are pretty easy to take care of! lol
Corn Beef and Irish bread actually sounds really good!... My mom used to make "Corn Beef and Cabbage soup" when I was a child, which was really good. I've heard of the Irish Bread but I've never actually had it though. I will have to look up the recipe and see what all it entails!..... Do you by chance have "Irish" decent in you at all?
I hope that you enjoy your weekend! Thanks for the well-wishes, and for checking in this week and keeping us up to date on how things are going for you!
@PoliteOcean
Yes Irish heritage. Many good Irish Soda bread recipes on the internet. Easy to make as it is a quick bread. No yeast.
**How have you all been doing this past week?! Stuck in the depressive fog that is in my head. . . I've had writer's block as soon as I finished my story.
**We are currently at the "MID-POINT" of March already!.. How has this month been going for you so far?! I can't wait for it to be over.
**March is "NUTRITION MONTH"....Have you taken part in any of the Nutrition Events or Discussions this month? If so what is something you learned that you didn't know? What interesting tips did you take with you? I cook my own food and I fish twice this week.
**Tomorrow is ST. PATRICKS DAY! How many of you celebrate this day? If so what events do you do or enjoy on this day? I just plan on wearing green, but I did a green cake. . . the icing not mold LOL
**What have been your "Highlights" Or "Struggles" this past week? I just can't get out of my writer's block and cranky mood
**What are your weekend Plans?! Writing, edit, and cook
**What would "YOU" like to talk about or share with us?! WE want to hear from "YOU"!!
I love to write, cook, and cats
@Rebekahwriter13
Hey there! So great to hear from you this week!.. I was thinking about you as I hadn't seen you check in lately. Glad to see you are doing well...And Very glad to hear that you didn't make a 'Moldy" cake! lololol....
Sorry to hear about the Writers block and cranky mood..... I can relate to both as I use to write "Poetry" and I could write a poem on the spur of the moment without a second thought then all of a sudden the words just wouldn't come....
... Hope it gets better for you...
Its so cool that you love to cook.... Like I mentioned before I'm certainly not the best cook... I can try recipes, but they don't normally turn out like they say lolol.
... I rely on my mom to make the really "good" dishes!... I stick to "simple" meals and less than 5 ingredients lol....
I hope you enjoyed your weekend and thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you are doing!
@PoliteOcean LOL My cakes never get moldy, they do not last that long in my house. . . between family and neighbors.
I try to cook when I can.
I've been depressed, but my food has been ok.
I think I've been doing well since March! I'm now handling irritation and anger much better with my mindfulness techniques.
The weather has been really nice in these few days, and I feel energetic! I walk to home with people, enjoying the weather and chatting, and spent some time listening to vinyl and relaxing with my friend. My back pain is so much better now,
I'm having a lot of shows and lectures to go to in the next two weeks, I was first afraid that I might not be able to go because I was not feeling the greatest mentally. I'm still not sure, but I'm catching up with things and feeling better. Whether or not, I think I'm going to enjoy the rest of March. :D
@Rawnm
Hey there! Its great to hear that you are doing better this month!.. And its awesome that your Mindfulness techniques are working for you and going well!... I keep telling myself that i will practice it more and I just dont' seem to make it happen like I want to..
Its good that you are enjoying the better weather and that your back pain is doing much better... I know how that feels when our backs dont' cooperate. Its not a good feeling. Its good that yours has gotten better!
Its great that you are starting to feel better and trying to get back into the "Swing of things"!... Hopefully you will be able to make the lecture that you want to!..
Thanks so much for taking the time to check in with us to let us know how things are going for you! Be sure to check back and let us know how you are doing!
This past week was a battle for me, as it usually is, but I got through it! Only had 2 days this week that were bummerville!
The month has been hectic, but it's going well! I'm so happy spring is returning!
I made decorations for my job for Saint Patrick's Day!
I struggled with motivating myself when I was alone this week. I also got into a big fight with my brother... But everything had happy endings!
I was working for the weekend, but it was happy nonetheless!
I took my vitamins every day this week!!!
@betterchoices
Hey there! So glad to see you check in with us this week!....
Sorry to hear that the week had been a battle for you , but its good that you were able to manage and get through it!...
I think all of us that are in "Spring-time" are so happy to be looking forward to warmer weather.... Your St Patricks decorations sound like a lot of fun! I hope that evveryone enjoyed them as much as you enjoyed making them.
Sorry to hear about your lack of motivation and the fight with your brother... but its good that things worked out... Thats the funny thing is that even when situations don't seem good, they always have a way of working themselves out in one way or another.
Congrats to you on taking your Vitamins!... Great job.... Its usually pretty easy for me to remember mine during the weekday but when weekends come I get off track with them. lol...... Great job to you! I hope that they help and are making you feel good. Keep up all the great work that you are doing..
Thanks so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you are doing! Be sure to check back and keep us up to date :)
@PoliteOcean Can do! Thank you! These keep me going.
