**This past week has gone well....Celebrated my birthday "Weekend" last weekend.. Which fell on Saturday. The weekend went really great.. Hubby and I did Dinner out at my favorite Italian place, and also the Ghost Tour.... My plan was to get right back on track come first thing Sunday.... well... that didn't happen. I slipped early on in the day with birthday treats.... devil... But.. once I just let it happen and got it out of my system, I was able to move on come "FIRST" thing Monday morning....and decided to just "keep on moving on"~

**Kept up with everything, workouts, and eating.....and stayed on track the rest of the week.... Classes went well... Sleep did "not".. With my Mom out of town the first part of this week, I didn't walk first thing in the morning Like I normally do with her. So, I guess I used that as an excuse as to why I could stay up "later" than I should have....And then I kind of felt a little "Mentally and Physically exhausted as well..... So...plan is to continue to get back on track with that somehow.... My water has gotten off track a bit, since the cooler weather is now starting to set in. So, I've been trying to increase warm Blueberry Green Tea to help with that.

**Plans for the month ahead are to continue to do my best to remain on plan and track throughout each week. Thanksgiving will soon be upon us here in the USA in less than 3 weeks now~... Its simply incredible how fast this year flew by~ surprise But I will not allow myself to get off track as badly as I did this time last year into the New Year. What helps me is having that 'one' Free day to just not think too much. Thats what helps me to stay on track.

**Today is that FREE day!... So not planning to think about too much today... just going to run a few errands~ And then hopefully relax afterwards for the rest of the day.

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND EVERYONE~yes

Heya! I havent checked-in in a while, so I decided to come back today! Im currently on an unofficial self-care break :p

So a few things have happened in my academic life! Withdrawing from the semester (even though the semester ended already 🤣) and meeting with a team from the uni to discuss things, as well as meeting with the person whos in charge of the course Im in to discuss what units I can enroll in for next semester. And Im on medication now for mental health, which was a surprise for me! But just two days ago, I started to accept it and it feels good :)

Job wise, its been going good! Had to take three days off due to medication side effects, but todays shift was awesome. 7 hours but time flew by really quick.

Havent been exercising or eating healthy lately though :/ my sleep has been going great on the other hand! Haha and water intake is increasing due to the high temperatures and working (having to talk and sometimes make small talk for 7 hours in a day can get rough on your throat!). Social activities wise, its been going ok too. Meeting up with friends individually, and having them come to me is a huge relief! I usually have to travel 1hr-1.5hrs to see them, so they decided to do the same for me :D

I hope everythings been going well with you all, and take care! ❤️

@rebecca947

Hey there Rebecca! Long time no see!..

Sounds like even though there were some minor concerns, that "over-all" things have been going pretty well for you?!...And thats great..

Sounds like starting your new Mental Health Medication is playing a big part in it as well as having your "new" job and I'm sure "socializing" with others more?!

Sounds like your job is also going really well for you?!

I'm sure the medication will continue to help you immensely and continue to help you stay on track with things... and as that happens, I'm sure other things will start to fall into place as well :)

Thanks for checking in this past week and letting us know how things have been going for you~ And great job on getting enough sleep (I'm still working on that)... and with your water (Mines slowing down some now that its cooler here) ...oh well. lol...

Take care~

Keeping up with exercise and healthy eating. Made it through Halloween as we gave the neighbor candy leftover and did not keep in the house. Otherwise moderation on eating candy would not happen.laugh The holidays are fast approaching and I want to stay on the healthy track. I know from past experience the pounds can go up very quickly this time of year. Last year was a 12 pound gain between September and Jan. Lost the 12 pounds, but took 3 months of work. Enjoying the nice cool fresh air this time of year. The summer crowds are long gone. Getting my walking in and a lot of leaf raking. Still working on getting organized but have made progress. Stress levels seem to be check, which is a good thing. Enjoy your weekend.smiley

Sounds like you've definitely had another great week!... Sound like things are continuing to go well and that you are doing your best to continue to stay on track with everything!...I know it gets so challenging this time of year, but, thats great your keeping up with everything.

Its great that it only took you 3 months to get back to where you were... Seems like it took me forever...And I surely dont' want to be dealing that again come the start of a new year! lol...

Thanks so much for checking in this past week, and letting us know how things are continuing to go for you!...

I was sick for most of the week and did not go to work on Monday. I went on Tuesday and did not have a good day. After feeling great on Wednesday, I felt bad for the rest of the week. Friday was also a challenging day, and I succumed to the junk at school on our monthly birthday celebration day, eating a slice of Boston creme pie and 2 mini crullers. After work I took an hour walk with my son and his wife, then we went to our favorite restaurant and I had 2 chocolate martinis. I always eat a lot at that restaurant as well. I did better yesterday. I did not get much exercise this week either, but I should be mostly back to normal this week.

@SadMe70

Hey there Sad!.. So sorry to hear that you weren't feeling well.. I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better though!

Don't be too hard on yourself for "indulging" a bit... because Its sounds like for the most part that you are doing a pretty great job of trying to stay on track and not "over-do" things while at work... and you've been doing very well based on your check-ins!...

It happens from time to time, and its hard not to beat ourselves up about it... but as you stated with a "new" week" getting back on track is the "plan" for you!.. And thats what matters!....

Also awesome job on getting outdoors and getting in a walk! Getting in that activity as well as being with your son at the same time I'm sure did wonders for your soul!.....Especially have not feeling well most of the week...And special time/dinner with him (and the wife) is just that, a "special" occasion... and its ok to take an opportunity to "enjoy" it... Even if it meant indulging a bit for that "one" evening!...

I hope that you doing much better this week and feeling better! Thank you so much for checking in and letting us know how things are going and simply being honest about your journey!....

Well, I was sick earlier this week but I'm better now. Had a stressful discussion with my adopted son yesterday evening and I'm not sure how things will be with our relationship but I said some things he needed to hear regarding some high-risk behavior he was involved in. As a parent, it's tough to find the courage to saywhat needs to be said when you know the outcome can be detrimental to family ties. I just hope in time he realizes it was done out of love. I guess we will see.

@CoffeeDrinker247

Hey there Coffee!.. So nice to see you post this week!...

Sounds like you have had some pretty challenging and stressful situations lately?!... So sorry to hear that....

I do hope that you are feeling much better!... and also, from one parent to another, I know how difficult and challenging it can be to say things to your child that they may not want to hear, or comprehend.... Even when "WE" know its for their own good!.. (Whether they are a child or an adult out on their own)!... They will always be our kids!...

And if you felt that your son was in a situation that you needed to shed light on and bring to his attention, then as a parent, you had a right to do so... Now whether he takes that advice or conversation "to heart" is another thing.. as we cannot control them or their behavior (unfortunately) frown ... BUT... Now you know that YOU tried to do your best, and do whatever was necessary or possible to help him at this time. And hopefully, prayerfully, he will "listen" and "understand" where you are coming from and that you only want whats best for him.... Sometimes they have to learn the "hard way"... (I know that I had to in the past in my much younger days)..... and very recently (my own son had to as well)...

My own son was falling into a situation that he just really didn't have a "clear" vision on, and after MANY talks and tries by various family members, it all came down to HIM really discovering on his own the things that just weren't "right"... and the things that HE had to change!...

Prayers that your son will fall in line, and do whatever is right and that your conversation will have the positive effect on him that you desire!.......

Thank you so much for checking in this week and letting us know how you've been doing! Please continue to check back and let us know how things have been going for you and your son!..

Thank you! It was hard, but like you said, it needed to be said. He was really angry at me at the time, but he called last night and plans on coming over Sunday to talk some more. He apologized for being angry and thanked me for the talk. Things are going to be fine.

Looking forward to starting a new diet plan, losing 20 pounds and getting in shape (and maybe having abs for once :D). I feel a smidge bad that looks are my main motivator for losing weight and getting fit, but they are. I'm grateful to have fitness club leaders at college who are willing to give advice even outside of the meetings, since I can't be there in person. And I'm grateful for a chance to start over with my body and nurture it the way I need to.

While I relapsed into an binge eating disorder that sparked another anorexia, I'm happy to say I've been recovered from anorexia for a year on the 23rd. (Woohoo!!) I'm working on binge eating disorder recovery and getting down to the weight that feels comfortable for me. Here's to hoping I stay fit and don't relapse. I need to get me a nutrition and therapy team though.

Thanks. I posted this when I was feeling really good. Unfortunately that has not lasted and I've been hit with anxiety surrounding what I described in the post above. They say it has to get worse before it gets better. My concern is that I never got worse enough. Its going to be a constant battle fighting relapse (especially when I actually miss the very thing I'm recovering from. It's like I lost a friend. I probably need therapy.) but I'm going to try. Thinking about the anniversary sparked my negative feelings; hopefully remembering my goals will spark some positive ones. :)
