**The past week has gone well... and gone by fast. It was a nice week, more likely since it started with the Labor Day holiday... Just sat around with the hubby all day and relaxed. Didn't really do much of anything... and that was "Ok" with me! lol...I TOTALLY stayed on Track Labor Day! And was really proud of myself, as this was about the time last year where I really started to get off track and plan. Got in a little last bit of Swimming at the local pool before they closed for the season. So now it will be back to mainly walking when I'm not doing group fitness or teaching classes....until it opens again in the Spring that is, (or unless I'm able to make it to the beach)

**Started off Tuesday and the rest of the week with teaching my POUND class (which went really great) numbers were back up from the previous week, and taught my usual Zumba class Thursday. Still keeping up my morning walks with my Mom about 4-5 days a week... Which on one hand is really great, it gets my mornings started, and gets me a TON of steps before the morning is even complete. BUT.... B/c she is an "Early Bird", its killing my sleep time! lol... B/c I am a "Night Owl" and its very challenging to get up early to go with her..... So.... I've been behind on my sleep some this past week, but have been totally keeping up & staying on track with my water, and food. I hoping to make it a plan YET again in the coming week ahead to "lay down sooner"!

**Today is my REST Day/Treat Day.... So, going to get in the very basic 10,000 steps just to consider myself "active" today, by doing my usual Saturday errands and such. Its a beautiful Sunny Day here today and very warm. So just gonna take a drive, do a little shopping perhaps, and relax with a good movie and family time tonight.

HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYING YOUR WEEKEND EVERYONE!~ yes

This week did go by so fast, I can't remember what I did haha all i remember is doing alot of yard work, cleaned the pool (the weekly chore) and went swimming. I have my work shifts in between. I kept up with my water intake and continue with my small meals and Premier protein shakes in between. I feel my appetite is changing a bit and for the best lol.

@PoliteOcean ... I wish I had your energy tho, would love to take regular Zumba and Pound classes. Been trying to catch a class but their class times doesn't work with my work and sleep schedule (I work overnights) ... oh well. I will, for sure, make a class or 3 in the near future. Still waiting for cooler weathers to come for my long walks or hike...

That's it for now. Hope everyone has an amazing week. :D

@HaileTruci You certainly got a lot done! Give yourself a pat on the back! I'm going to try to look up classes as well. My schedule is quite demanding so I hope it works out. What is a Pound class? I'm very curious. I hope you have a great week too!

@HaileTruci

Halie!!!.... It so great to hear from you again this week!!!! You are on a roll with checking in girl!!!

Sounds like you have been really busy!... Its great that you are finding ways (cleaning the pool is HUGE activity!) lol.. I remember when I had my huge above ground pool.... I was the one in charge of taking care of it b/c I was the one who wanted it for me and my son....It was so High maintenance!... Its why I DON'T have it now! lolol... But I really wish I still did... That is alot of work to take care of a pool...I would say that is alot of activity there! So don't underestimate it! lol....

I wish you and Essdee were in my class too.. Oh what an amazing time we'd have together! I could only imagine... As far as having "MY" energy goes, well let's just say I have to "DIG" really deep some days to find it! lol....It can be a challenge, but we just have to keep pushing through to get to our goals.

Sounds like you are still doing an awesome job at trying to stay on track! Good for you!...Those "Premier Shakes" really do help! I always keep a pack in my house. If those are doing the trick for you and working and helping you to stay on plan and track, then keep going!

I'm also sorry to hear that the class time/schedule hasn't been working to your advantage due to your work schedule.... I remember those days too when I worked Nightshift. But it will come, and you just have to do what you need to do for yourself.... And the cooler weather will soon be kicking in, and you will have "another" plan at being able to get out and active! You keep "doing YOU" girl... You've got this!

Thank you so much for checking in this week! Always great to hear from you!

Keeping up with exercise and healthy eating. Keeping weight in check, the fall will be a good test for watching what I eat. I have to be careful and drink plenty of water. At least the holidays are a few months off. Still able to swim as weather has been good. Had a mini heatwave this week up in the 90s for a few days. Starting back with 10,000 steps per day as I am not sure how many more weeks to swim. Enjoy your weekend.

@sail46

Awesome check-in Sai!...It always is for you.. You are really doing great, (and inspiring me as well)... Seems like our journey is quite similar. (Getting off track this time last year, fighting our way back through the weight gain, enjoying our swim time, trying to stay on track with the holiday months ahead).... etc...

You are doing amazing work.... Its great that you have your own pool and can still manage to get some more swim time in... I had a HUGE above ground pool a few years back, but it was so high maintanence, and time consuming.. With all the trees in our back yard, it was too challenging to keep up with all the debris....But I'm mainly back to walking as well, when I 'm not doing group fitness classes or teaching....

Its great that you are going to make your goal for 10,000 steps.... and work towards maintaining through these upcoming months ahead, which can be the most challening (outside of the Summer months). But it sounds like you've really do got this!

Thanks so much for checking in this week and for continuing to keep us up-to-date!

@vivelespatates

Hey there Patates! Great to hear from you this week...

Its good that temperatures are nice for you where you are and that you are able to get out and about. (Its nice when its not too hot or too chilly).

Taking Self Care time is even better... We should all make time for self care whenever we can and are able to. It can be hard to work in self care sometimes, but we all certainly need it. It can help in so many ways physically, mentally and emotionally.

Thanks for checking in this week and letting us know how things have been going for you.

Another ok week for me. No extra muscle pain this week! I continued to mostly eat well. (My blizzard last week was mint Oreo and it was delicious!) I continue to exercise regularly which mainly helps keep me from getting too stiff. It is all very low intensity because of my joint problems, so I'm not regaining any muscle and not burning much fat. I can't get the exercise high that used to help with my depression and anxiety and I do really miss that, but I know my limitations and I have to cater to that.

We went to the farmers' market yesterday to stock up on catfish filets. A pair of older gentlemen who have been fishermen for years come to our market. We stock up on lots of the fish, and freeze it in bags of 6 filets. Over the course of the summer and fall, we buy enough to last through the winter because we eat it once a week usually. Yesterday we bought 15 pounds of filets! I don't eat a lot of pork or beef, but we also bought a pound of pork sausage from another vendor, and made the most delicious omelet with that, eggs from our hens, tomatoes from our garden, a pepper from the market, and some cheese. We had half for lunch and half for dinner.

I didn't do any cooking yet this weekend, but I got stuff for a barley and lentil dish in the Instant Pot that I hope to make tonight. I have a couple of other easy meals planned for the week, and will pull something out of the freezer for Thursday. I did resist more junk at school, on our monthly staff birthday celebration day on Friday. So far, so good with that.

@SadMe70

Hey there Sad!... Always great to hear from you!...

That Blizzard sounds really great...lol.. I haven't had that flavor, but I do Love Mint. Maybe one day I will give that a try?!

I'm glad that you are continuing with regular exercise... I can understand that its on a different level than you desire, but the positive is that its something that is at least keeping you "active" and in the end, that is the most important. Because as you said, "YOU" know your limitations, and you have to do what is beneficial for you and your own health. That comes first.

And WOW on the farmers market!... I love them. I need to make it back myself before the season ends... But sounds like you got some really great stuff. Thats alot!...I should consider doing that as well. That omlet sounds great... My husband LOVES sausage. So he would just love that. I on the other hand would do well with those Filets! But I think its really awesome that you are planning and preparing.

But what is even MORE awesome is that you are still continuing to RESIST the School Junk!!!!!! YAYY for you!!... I'm so proud of you Sad! You are really doing a great job with that. I know how down that can get you when you think about it afterwards and what a challenge it was for you to resist all those things. And I know that first-hand by having worked there myself. It is Soooooo very challenging. But look at you go! Those are the small things that add up in BIG ways! You are doing great Sad. Continue to keep up the great work that you are doing for yourself.

Thank you for checking in this week and continuing to let us know how things are going!

Life is hard because I keep coming up against walls that I have built. I want to be the best possible version of myself, but I just am just so used to discomfort that it's now become comfortable. However, I have the most wonderful mom and family. So, while I am stressed, I am still quite blessed.

**How have you been doing this week?! Seems like a roller coaster. Some days good, some days not so good.

**How has the "First" week of September gone for you!? okay, but started with a head cold on Friday that I'm now fighting.

**What things did you find yourself doing differently this past week now that September has started, or school has begun? nothing really.

**How many of you celebrated the Long "LABOR DAY" holiday weekend ? What did you find yourself doing? How did you enjoy it? Didn't celebrate - just worked

**What have been your "highlights" over this past week? What are your weekend plans ahead?

**What things would YOU like to talk about or share with us?! WE want to hear from YOU!! smiley So, I've been on 7 Cups for a few weeks now and i realized my big learning last night.

Here goes: The most important voice we listen to is the one in our own head. if it says negative, hateful and harmful things, that's what we become. But, if we can re-train that voice to be kind and compasionate, then we become better people.
