☀️ This past week seemingly flew by~... Last weekend with it being both Father's Day weekend & the start of Summer, I started off Saturday with an early morning Zumba class... Afterwards we went to a Pool-side Summer Festival, then did a little bit of 'Pre-Father's Day' shopping with family, & did a 'Pre-Father's Day' dinner out... On Sunday, we started off Father's Day with an outdoor walk at the local track, then I spent time with all of my favorite guys afterwards for Father's Day... The weekend went very well.~

🌴 Throughout this past week, I remained on track & steady with my personal goals in finishing up this month of June... Meals, Workouts, Hydration, & Sleep were all well.. The weather has been very nice, warm & cooperative. And Outdoor time has been plenty... We also finished opening up our Pool for the season, so I'm glad to have that completed!.. Overall June was well, And I feel good with what I accomplished & with the personal progress that I made.. And ready to continue that as we move into a new Month ahead~

🌊 This weekend ahead, intentions are for Early Workout classes to start off each day... On Saturday, there's a Summer Festival, & other events... Intentions are also to spend some time in the Pool relaxing for a bit throughout the weekend.... As well as prepping for an upcoming Trip up North for the Holiday next week ahead~

Happy Weekend~

☀️ Hey all Welcome to the Weekend~ How was your week?~ This week was much of the same as last week as far as my pain scale goes.  Just this morning I'm starting to feel like I'm coming out of this "flare up" so to speak.  One thing I have added that I never did before was use of a TENS unit.  It seems to be helping some but I try and do so many things during my flare ups for relief, that I'm not sure what remedy is actually doing what, if that makes sense.  The other thing that is bothering me is that the weather changed for the better Wednesday but the pain hadn't.....I've always correlated my pain with weather patterns....time to break out the journal and start tracking things other than the weather(inflammatory foods and diet, and stress/anxiety)....I did have a stressful/anxious week at work so maybe that was contributing to the inflammation.....

🌴This is our "4TH & FINAL" Check-in for "JUNE"~... How do you feel that this Month has gone for you overall?....pain flare up aside, the month went well over all....more positive than negative..... What do you feel was your biggest Noteworthy moment, Milestone, or Personal Accomplishment for yourself this month? Early in the month, prior to the pain episode, I managed to get a schedule/routine for workouts that I hope to put back into motion soon, and got some yard work and house upkeep things done that I've been putting off....

🍍 This Last Check-in of JUNE, marks the "Mid-way" point of the Year!~... What are some things, Wellness goals, or Otherwise that you'd like to Focus on, Work towards, or Prioritize for yourself as we enter into & move through this Next half of 2026 ?!  I'd like to focus on eating better(I say that every time but never do....its a never ending cycle I have been doing for years lol)....I also need to incorporate more time for meditation, stretching and mobility, and reading.....

🌊 JUST FOR FUN:  It's Summertime & we're taking a Road-trip!~... WHAT is Your Top Favorite Road-trip Snack?!~ This is going to sound weird but here goes....when we travel we keep a cooler accessible with plenty of waters and the Mio squirts of our choice...... and the following snacks....we buy a bag of pretzel twist, slice up strawberries, and buy a sharp cheddar cheese block we cut into small squares.  You can snack on those separately or do like I do.....Place a slice of cheese on the pretzel twist with a slice of strawberry on top of that and pop the whole thing in your mouth.....like I said, sounds weird, but I think the combo tastes delicious.....as the driver on the trip, I recommend having a passenger who is nice enough to put it together and hand it to you while you are driving for safety reasons lol.......

☀️ What were your "Highlights or Struggles" of the week?... How were you able to work through your Challenges in a Healthy Way?! All of this was covered above....

🌴 What is something else that "YOU" want to Talk about, Add, Or Share with us this week?!... We want to hear from YOU~  Thanks again for engaging my thoughts......have a wonderful week....

Hey Cycling 🚴 ~

Thats great that you are trying to continue to work on different things & options to help manage your pain. Not sure if you are going to a pain management clinic, or just sticking with your primary physician?.. But that’s good news that your TENS unit seems to be helping you during your flareups. And It’s definitely a beneficial idea to keep a journal of what’s been “happening” as well as what’s been “helping” you during your episodes!.. As It could surely help to bring a more clearer picture of patterns... As far as weather patterns go yes those can certainly affect how we feel, as well as those work stressors! When stress arises, so does inflammation. So perhaps you’re onto something there as to what your cause was for the week?! Definitely a good idea to keep tracking that going forward.

Despite the pain matters, (which I personally can understand from experience), it’s great that your month went well for you overall. And that you were able to feel more positive about your experiences throughout, than negative.

Ahhh… yes, those pesky outdoor yard work, & household upkeep matters! (I Totally feel you with that one as well)... It’s great when we are able to get through some of the “personal matters” that can tend to keep us from attending to other tasks at hand! (That was me also as things just seemed to take forever this year in trying to get things dealt with on the outside)…But It’s wonderful that you’ve been able to put a plan & schedule together for yourself to help get it all in alignment… And even better that you are continuing with focus on your wellness goals for the rest of 2026!.. Eating habits (& working out), can definitely be the top things that stand in the way or feel the most challenging for people. And yes, can seem like a never-ending cycle of trying to do what you feel is right or necessary.. But it’s awesome that you are already “aware” of the things you need to do & want to make time for. Perhaps thinking on the 80/20 rule could help? We don’t have to be perfect! 👊🏼

I love your road-trip snack idea! (Not “weird” at all)! And Looks like that’s yet another thing we have in common. (Although I’m always the passenger lol)! ….But great job to you on thinking outside the box & simply keeping it healthy!

Thanks again for checking in to share your week with us Cycling! And for continuing to keep us posted on how you’re doing & how things are continuing to move along for you. It’s been great having you here with us again! Please continue to keep us updated.

I went for a walk and I am in pain.  Plus, I find walking to be very boring.  I will not walk anymore.  I will not bike, as I don't like it, and I won't use the elliptical.  I am going to keep my room clean, and exercise good self-care.

As a Fitness instructor my motto has always been to Find activity that you “enjoy” & it will never feel like work… The biggest factor to sticking with activity is being able to enjoy it. If you don’t enjoy it, then typically it’s not something you will desire to do again….

Sometimes we may have to dig a little deeper or think outside the box as well. Like walking while listening to Music that  you like that can keep you inspired & motivated... Or maybe walking with a Friend or family member for motivation... Or walking while listening to a podcast you might enjoy… As long as it’s enjoyable whatever you choose to do for movement & activity will be easier to do again.

Movement while cleaning your room is good, and provides good physical activity. Also working on Self-care is a great focus for our overall wellbeing (mentally, physically & emotionally).

Thank you for sharing with us this week & continue to keep us updated on how things are going for you.
