🍁 This past week was mostly standard... I started off last weekend with my usual Zumba activity to start off each day... Intentions last Saturday were to get out to a Holiday Festival but that became Null & Void when my body said "otherwise"~ So both days were spent relaxing after Zumba classes with some good movies, binge-watching old shows, & being cozy indoors~... While its not really like me to just want to sit around all weekend, I found myself at a cross-roads of feeling good in allowing my body to rest, while also feeling some kind of way for sitting around doing 'nothing'.~  But sometimes we need that!~ However, we did squeeze in a short evening drive Saturday evening just to get out & get some fresh air & grab some dinner.~ We were also able to enjoy some Holiday "lights" along the way that have already been placed out in different communities.

🌾 As the week started off, we got a huge blast of very chilly, winter-like colder weather... (Courtesy of some Arctic blast)?!.. Which is quite unusual for us this time of  year. But it's also something that continued to keep me indoors the first part of the week with no outdoor time.... However I was still able to stay on track with my goals of daily workouts,  meal-tracking, & hydration. Sleep was better this week but continues to need work. The weather is now back on track & more seasonal so I was able to get in some more outdoor time & walks with the pup.~ I'm also starting to do my 'Holiday prep' with decorating. I like to get the little things out of the way a bit before getting that Tree up.~

🍂This weekend ahead there are various holiday events... So after Zumba classes to start off each day, intentions are to get out & about to enjoy that. And perhaps get in some early holiday shopping. I also intend to grab some items to Donate to the Local Animal Shelter & Food Bank this year!... So looking forward to that... And also squeeze in some typical errands & some relaxation before starting off the new week ahead.~

HAPPY WEEKEND~

My week was good, busy, very bad weather here, so alot of hibernating 😁 The talent I have is for being able to laugh and not take life too seriously 💖

Hey there~

How nice for you that you had a good week (despite it being busy & the bad weather).~ However, it’s nice that you were able to “hibernate” for a bit… (That’s pretty much what I did too during our cold-spell)! It definitely feels good doesn’t it?!

Also How great for you that you are able to take life as it comes & not too seriously. Definitely Not a lot of people can tend to do that.~ So good for you for being able to “laugh” when needed. 🙃

Thank you for sharing with us this week! Please continue to keep us updated. 🙂

@PoliteOcean I really like it when you post early. This week I started to read "The Masterpiece" by Emile Zola. It's very good. I'm also reading my commentary on the book of Psalms. That's really good also. I'm also reading "Pamela" by Samuel Richardson. It's okay but not great. Monday I got a massage. It went well. I like going back to the same person so I don't have to explain my issues all over again. I've been releasing a lot of stress in my hands. The amount of stress I've been holding in my body is absolutely insane! Tuesday November 11th was International Singles Day. The Christian church treats singles like a piece of trash. Wednesday afternoon John abused me. Leslie took his side, of course. Thursday I went to get a CT scan but I didn't have the $200 co-pay so I cancelled the appointment. Getting a scan was not critical. Friday morning John forced me against my will to listen to a gay love podcast. I didn't say anything because it would only make matters worse for myself. I'm extremely frail. I earned my varsity letter in Track and Cross Country in high school but I can't handle any kind of emotional distress. I really hate how out of shape I am. I hate looking in the mirror because I look like an overweight middle aged man. Well, that's because I am. My insurance company sent me a $35 gift card to CVS. That's great but I don't need anything from CVS. Furthermore even if I did find something, it would cost way more than the same item from Amazon. Also I got my new insurance card, which is great. I don't have any upcoming medical appointments for this week. Edna came back on Friday. The lady she was taking care of died. Edna has a really loud voice. I really hate that.  I bought myself two birthday presents, a watch and a 4 inch black obsidian carved owl. I got it for 50 percent off and free shipping.

Hey Regmo~ That’s good that you are continuing to keep up with your reading interests & enjoying your books. And that you were also able to get that Monday massage in to start off your week… I tend to stick with the same people too (regardless of what I’m doing), if I see that they are doing a good job. Definitely Makes it easier in knowing who to go to and schedule with. Yes I too have also found how crazy it can be “where” exactly our bodies can hold onto tensions & stressors… It’s too bad that you are continuing to have issues in the household. And worse if you feel that nothing can be done about it.. Hopefully you are still considering saving little by little to one day have a space of your own.~ I wouldn’t pay that much either for a co-pay especially if the procedure isn’t a necessary one. As That’s a good bit to part with... As far as CVS, I’m not much of a CVS shopper myself, other than to get a prescription or two. And Especially since they have a “drive-thru” pharmacy which is a definite plus for me as it’s more convenient… (And even though Amazon can be pretty amazing), if you don’t typically shop at CVS there is still a good bit you can get with $35. Whether it’s an OTC medicine, Snacks, or a convenient health & beauty item?.. They even sell nice Knick/knacks (like coffee mugs, cozy blankets, socks etc..etc.).. I’m sure you’ll figure out something to use it on for yourself. Sounds like you have a pretty free week ahead with no appointments.. Maybe your caretaker can take you to CVS to look around? That’s nice that you were also able to treat yourself for your Birthday. It’s nice when we can treat ourselves. And (50% off & Free shipping makes it even nicer!)~ Thanks for sharing your week & keeping us posted. And Continue to keep us updated on how things are going.

@PoliteOcean

It was a better week. Well, kind of. I was able to talk to my grandmother for about a minute or so. She has severe dementia and is deteriorating rather fast. However, she was happy and in good spirits. When I heard her voice, I just broke down and cried. She told it's okay and to please not cry. She my best friend and so what is happening to her is just heartbreaking, so when I am able to call, each moment is precious.

I had a dental appointment yesterday (11/14) which ended up resulting in me needing a root canal. OUCH! Then later that afternoon, I had another appointment at CVS to get my Covid vaccine. So, today, I am sore and in pain all over.

@ScorpiaD

Hey there~

Thats good that you had a better week and was able to get the opportunity to talk with your grandmother... I was always very close with mine as well, so I can understand the bond there. And can also understand how challenging it can be watching them after a health issue takes over. (In your case, the dementia). Definitely not an easy thing by any means to watch or deal with when it comes to a loved one. But it’s wonderful for her that you say she was “happy & in good spirits”! As that’s all you can continue to hope for with her. So that’s good news there. Just continue to love her, love on her, and be present for her. She’ll know it & feel it.

As far as the dental, (Yikes on the root canal). But At least it’s over & done with now! And Congrats on the Vaccine & staying updated with it & your health & wellness.

Thanks for checking in to share with us this week. And continue to keep us updated~

🍁Hey all~ Welcome to the Weekend~... How was your week?  My week was ok but busy....I got my expensive home repair done.....bank account is much lighter, but it is what it is.....

🌾This is our "3RD" Check-in For NOVEMBER~... And We are officially "Half-way" through this month already~ ... What is "One" small Step, Goal, or Healthy Habit, that you have taken for yourself so far this month, that you are feeling Thankful & Grateful for?! I have been forcing myself to get in at least 30 minutes of some sort of physical activities or "workout" at least 3 to 4 times a week.....even if its just 30 minutes of stretching and mobility....I've met that goal so far this month....

🍁JUST FOR FUNIn Continuing  in the Spirit of National Gratitude Month, WHAT special Gift, Skill, or Talent do you have that you are Grateful for?! This is a tough one for me because I don't think of "myself" in this way......I'll have to ponder this and get back to you.....if I remember......lol

🌾What were your "Highlights or Struggles" of the week?... I'm continuing to chip away at my group fitness instructor course....I am about 50 percent through the online class.....yesterday, just for the heck of it, I took the 120 question practice exam and passed with an 88.....I guess I already have the knowledge.....I'm hoping this will allow me to finish the course quicker than I thought I would.....as for struggles....I'm back to not sleeping well or not sleeping at all.....the last week or so I have been awake by 1:30 or 2am and just can't seem to fall back asleep.....I know they say there is usually a stress related root of the problem but I can't really think of what that could be at this point in time....I guess I will just keep going with it until my body has had enough and forces me to sleep, whether its at night or an afternoon nap....I'm sure my system will let me know.....Its not the healthiest answer but its the only one I have now......I avoid sleep aids.....although lately I have considered them but can't bring myself to take them......it is what it is.....

Hey there Cycling 🚴 ~

Despite your week being busy, it’s good that things were Ok for you overall… And even better that you were able to get your home repair worked on & out of the way! Despite the financial hurdle, At least it’s one less stressor to have to focus on going forwards!

It’s awesome that you are getting in that activity/workout, and working on making it more consistent… Just having a goal that you’ve created for yourself to focus on & knocking it out IS enough! 💪🏼… And stretching/mobility is a wonderful way to get in movement when we otherwise might not feel like doing much more beyond that. But not to mention, we NEED that! It helps our muscles, awakens our bodies, releases stress, and helps in preventing injury. So Keep up the great work!

Congrats on continuing to work on your Group Ex Cert. (Being 50% through it is even better)... I kind of felt that one was even tougher than the Personal Trainer?! What do you think?!.. It’s great that you are quizzing yourself & feel that you are ready for it going forward. I have no doubt that you’ll obviously knock it out of the park when the time comes.

As far as the sleep struggle, all I can say is that the struggle is real. Lol.. With that being said, yes, listen to your body and when it’s ready to rest it will (even if via a Nap). Let it! … It’s a challenge to always know or figure out exactly where the issue lies when we awake at night unable to fall back to sleep. All we can do is continue to work on it by taking steps to ensure we are getting a decent nights sleep. If a sleep aid could help perhaps it’s something you could look into going forward if needed. You don’t have to take it all the time. But if it could help in the moment in getting you started on a better path, then maybe it could be helpful. Hopefully your answer will come soon. I personally know what a challenge it can be. Aging doesn’t help with it either! lol..

Thanks for checking in to share your week with us and letting us know how things have been going. Please continue to let us know how you’re doing and never be a stranger.~
