Hi, I'm Cassie, and I am the new Forum Supporter for Hobby Zone.
I have lots of hobbies so it felt like a natural progression for me to stand up here and join the forum team. I want to get to know you all and to share our hobbies so that we all enjoy tips and tricks and ways to get the best from our hobbies whilst trying to make sure we slim down the costs! Cheap or free hobbies are welcome here so share with us.

I'm not a big summer lover, looking forward, to winter, and dark evenings, sitting Infront of sn open fire. Walks in the crispfresh air, the colour of the beautiful leaves on the ground. My greatest hobbies are music , dancing and I'm a football nut 😁🥰

Do you have summer hobbies? Or winter hobbies, I guess really just seasonal hobbies lol? I do a lot of hiking, two years ago I started rock climbing. I do some horseback riding and wood work. I also build these mock-ups I think someone called them. Kind of like dioramas?
How do your hobbies make you feel? Peaceful, happy, content? Usually peaceful and more relaxed
Do they let you think, or do they let you THINK about things that you don't want to? Most of them keep me from thinking too much about anything other than what I'm doing at that moment. Hiking can sometimes let me think about things I don't want to

Our pets are a big part of our life too, and many people underestimate the grief we experience when we lose them.
And, your Father, what an interesting person he was. And to reconnect like that and learn about the rockclimbing too. I am not sure I could ever do that, although watching Tom Cruise hang from one hand above the nothingness was inspiring.

I enjoy doing punch needling, being outside, hiking and I LOVE animals as well. Any chance I get to go to a farm, I’m there. (Matter of fact, I think that’s what I need rn)
I have 2 bulldogs. Love them so much. They are like emotional support animals. Always loving or snuggling on me.
Often I go in spurts with sketching and reading. I do enjoy both. 😊
My hobbies do take me out of my own mind—and my bed lol

Punch needling is not painful 😂 it’s actually pretty soothing. I find it has a lot of instant gratification too 😍😍 I googled it to explain it. It’s a yarn craft where a hollow needle is used to push yarn or thread through fabric, creating loops on one side and a flat surface on the other. It's a technique that can be used to create a variety of items, from wall hangings and cushions to rugs and toys. The loops created by the needle are held in place by the tension of the fabric and the yarn.

I love gardening, getting out in nature with the doggo and reading 'hippie spirituality books' as I like to call them ! I figure even if some of the info in a spirituality book is fiction, it will be entertaining! And I know some of it is real. 💖💝

One of my favorite authors is Cynthia Sue Larson - she writes about quantum physics and reality shifts. Another book that is fun is beneath a vedic sky by William levacy.

It's a lot more spiritual than you might think! Kind of how geometry is where art and math meet... quantum physics studies consciousness a lot and how it impacts the "physical" realm..

My kind of genre of books! I just recently stumbled across Veda Autin's work on Hydroglyphs- mind-tickling stuff!! I guess it's not really fiction, but she definately gets into the Spirituality of Water imho. I'm debating on getting her pdf versions of a couple of her books. Her interviews on youtube are facinating as well. I'm gonna check out Cynthia Sue Larson now, since it's sounds like my kind of read! Thank you.

i like gaming, reading, walking and just going to random places around me to try and socialize with others. that last one isn't very easy to do tho :/

Anything art... Painting clay pastels u name it! Lol. And dreamcatchers wind chimes but my favorite is woodart that's my number one love ❤️❤️❤️

Oh man .. everything that's loud! Industrial objects like tools or copper pipes. Or even spoons!
My hobbies are reading (when I have the time) + anything collage or junk journaling! I collect paper and anything I deem worthy of being turned into art- which includes almost everything lol. I mean it's called junk journaling for a reason 😉

It’s basically odds, ends and bits of papers or anything you’d like to add to your journal. It’s mostly cut/tear and glue collage of cut outs from magazines to wrappers to absolutely anything! The possibilities are endless. If you YouTube it, you’ll find lots of videos and tutorials.
I've been getting into gardening and running a bit more! Really want to make it a habit because I think that both hobbies are just great for the soul :)
@Mykosis I love gardening but I am not very good at it, I am trying to concentrate on flowers now, what about you?
Honestly same, I only really said it because i planted the first 3 shrubs i have in years haha. But I hope to get more into it in future!
