The mung bean cake has a thin, soft crust that barely has any taste. Even though the crust sits tightly against the filling, you can easily peel it off with your fingers (though it won't fall off on its own). Most of the cake's weight comes from the dense, compact filling — so it feels substantial in your hand. The filling is sweet, with a fragrant mung bean aroma. It's pleasantly sweet, not cloying — but if I compare it to 'lightly sweet,' it's more like a 5 or 6 out of 10 on sweetness, rather than a 3. The texture is firm and smooth, but it crumbles easily. I'd recommend having it with water or a drink, so you don't choke on the crumbs from the filling.
