Obsessed with makeup
Is anyone here obsessed with makeup? I’m 27 now and I always felt that I’d grow out of wearing dramatic makeup but nope. It just gets more intense. Granted I can’t wear the bold looks like I used to. I used to wear black lipstick and the smokiest eyeshadow. I used to have a collection of eyeshadow and lipstick but now I like to focus on using everything up. Anyone here love makeup? Please leave your favorite products and trends!

I def used to be obsessed with makeup when I was in high school. I still wear makeup everyday but I like to keep it natural. I mainly focus on the basics...foundation, eyebrows, contour, blush, mascara and lip balm. I used to love to experiment with bold looks, but I think that I'm just sticking to what I'm comfortable with now. Some of my favorite makeup brands are colourpop, elf, it cosmetics, aoa studio, rude cosmetics and Anastasia bev hills. Two makeup product that I cannot live without are my eyebrow powder and a blush...the eyebrows are like the frame of a magnificent picture but it is incomplete without a frame. And I just love blush as it brings a little color to my face. A makeup trend that I have been seeing a lot these days is the project pan. I loveee the idea of it as it not only reduces waste but it also challenges you to use that color that you always avoid because you don't think that it looks good on you...it brings you out of your comfort zone and challenges you to be creative!
I think after a while we find what works and we stick to it. I love elf and aoa is so underrated! I have a few brushes from there and they’re amazing quality. It took me years to figure out what works for my brows but I feel that I finally figured it out. I love project pan! That’s what’s been pushing me to use all my make up because I want to see that I got the most of my products! It’s nice to hear that you also had a passion for makeup in high school :)
@Shyness98
I love aoa studio! I'm glad to find another person that knows that brand. I initially found them for their brushes but give their makeup a try and I was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. It is my go-to place when I'm in a budget but also want a little treat me out! It also took me awhile to do my eyebrows the way that I want them too. It started off too dark like one of those sharpie brows, but then I learn how to blend, use the right shading and products and then learned how to groom my eyebrows which made a massive difference!
I recently realized how beautiful I am without makeup. Proud to rock my bare face
Ayyyyy same here! Let's goooo 🙈♥️💪🏻
OMG PLEASE TRY THIS MASCARA IM OBSESSED! One coat wow by HUDABEAUTY
Thanks for the recommendation. I’m always looking for a new mascara. I have short straight lashes and struggle with falsies. I discovered this product by Essence, it’s called curl fixing lash base and it’s supposed to keep lashes curled and boost any mascara and I love it! It might be bomb with the Huda mascara!
I've stopped using mascara altogether, for longer and stronger lashes I currently use castor oil 😋 a little bit on a q-tip and putting it on my lashes over night 2-3 times a week to darken them and make them grow and pop.
I'm looking into using khol powder and will mix it with the castor oil as natural eye lash dye eventually and to use as eye shadow if I feel the smokey eyes 👀
That sounds so much more nourishing than mascara. Sounds neat and perfect for days when you want a light face.
@Shyness98 I cannot recommend castor oil enough!! Conventional mascara include nasty ingredients like silicone, preservatives and sulfates just like shampoos and soaps... makes the lashes and hair roots brittle and the hair fall out.
Castor oil is also great for overnight hair masks to treat split ends and hair roots, to regrow your eyebrows and even to strengthen your finger- and toe nails 👀
I love makeup! I’m a full glam girl through and through lol. Just no winged eye liner - I used to be obsessed with it but started hating on it for 2-3 years now

I used to be OBSESSED with makeup! I would watch endless makeup tutorials and product reviews on youtube. I haven't kept up as much with it these days, but I hope to get some good product recommendations on this thread :)
