Anyone like psychology, philosophy, or physics?
I recently found out I can chat with other listeners and members to just talk about random interests and I'm very excited 😃
I, personally, really enjoy discussing psychology, philosophy, and physics (the three Ps lol) because when you go high enough, they kind of blend together in a really satisfying way (specifically, if you're interested, because they build on each other; philosophy governs understanding and what's logical; physics drives the universe we live in; psychology describes the way we work. It's like 3 colored glass panes stacked on top of each other, look in from a side and you'll see something vastly different than if you looked at the pane alone :))
I've been writing about it for a long time and I'd love to chat about any one of those three you're interested in! Send me a message if you'd like :) and maybe respond here as well, so other like-minded folks can see that you're someone to talk to as well 💙
@raphael86 I think I figured it out? If you're free would you want to chat sometime? Sorry again about missing your last day today.
@Kalia77 You did! Sort of 😅 check you're notifications, you should see a mention from a new thread where we can talk unrelated to this post
Long story short there are forums and there are chats, this is a post on the forum for something else I was doing, the mention is from a post specifically for us to talk. Chatting will be a bit more complicated, but I'm so pumped you managed to figure it out that's so cool
@raphael86
I like physics, I like astrophysics more specifically. 🙃
Wow that’s interesting :) what is astrophysics about? I never learned all my branches of science 😅 but honestly it sounds very interesting anyway
@raphael86
Astrophysics is basically just applying the principles of regular physics to study celestial objects and the universe.
This was actually how I got into physics!! Celestial mechanics :) I grew up on integration methods and RK4 lol (although that may not be astrophysics and more just other stuff)
That sounds so interesting :) what kind of phenomena do you like to study/explore?
@raphael86
That's so cool that you first got into physics by celestial mechanics. (:
I really like exploring all kinds of things actually, but recently it's been things like black holes, dark matter, and I was doing something with entropy at one point too.
I also attempt to come up with my own theories around these ideas as well.
Oh wow that sounds really interesting, I’d love to hear about it if you’d be cool sharing?
Maybe we can start a pen pals thread to chat in?
Ohhh I like to know more
@raphael86
Hey raphael. I see in you a hungry mind. I love the passion you are expressing for exploration and learning, and how energized you seem to be by diving into such exploration with others. I'd guess (and I hope!) that it will lead you to some meaningful perspectives and rewarding connections. How AWESOME.

@raphael86
I absolutely love psychology!
😊 that’s great to hear, maybe we can set up a pen pal chat as well? I have lots of ideas I’d like to talk through ;)
@raphael86
Yeah of course!!! That would be niceee
@raphael86 i like physiology, philosophy and sociology
Yh absolutely, also i like chess
@raphael86 Psychology caught my interest ever since I took it in high school for a semester class. I wished it was longer because there is literally so much to the subject! I swear every psychology (and even some sociology) class I take gets me more and more fascinated with our mental space and understanding!
