Bat lovers/enthusiasts?
Heyo! Is there any fellow bat enthusiasts here?
If so, what is your favorite species? And why?
Mine are Vampire bats (: I find them utterly adorable and cool at the same time, they're also local wildlife for my region.

I love bats, from the perspective of being an animal lover, but when they get inside your house, all gloves are off regarding the manner in which I may scream like a school girl!

Same lol. I stepped out of the door to run some errands and a bat came flying straight towards me. I screamed and ran back home.
@trueconfidant123 I had a hole in the cage of my chimney. One little *** knew about it, so every couple months, I would have to play savior and oust the little b@stard. To see the contraptions I developed to keep it from getting to me were RIDICULOUS lol

As a bat lover I wouldn't let one in my house either too lol, at least not indoors.
Bats can carry nasty diseases, and even though most bats are harmless, it's still a gamble.

I'm not a bat enthusiast but I definitely love watching bats. There are tall trees right in front of my window so I often spot them hanging around on the branches, even during the day. It's actually fun. One of them was so massive.

I love bats, too! I think my favorite are little brown bats. They seem to be the most common where I live. They eat so many mosquitoes! And they are fun to watch at dusk.

Bats are very cute and interesting. I never see them around here though
@memyselfandmoth Not to brag, but I see bats daily, mainly during/after sunset and early night.
Haven't seen any up close yet for obvious health and "don't bother wild animals" reasons, except for a dead one that we found in our classroom once.
But most bats here are free-tailed + other insectivores, and some occassional fruit bats (not flying foxes).
I may be wrong but I think the most common species of the ones I see here is Tadarida brasiliensis, but again I could be wrong.

@memyselfandmoth I have no pictures taken by myself since, for the surprise of no one, bats are hard to photograph. I only have pics downloaded from the internet

😂 that's true. Certainly this shows I've never really been around a bat. I do watch the baby bat feeding videos on YouTube though, because my partner is even more obsessed than I am about bats - I just delight in them and think they're adorable.

im not a bat enthusiast. But i heard there are bats that are cool where help pollinate the cactuses in Mexico. And make a certain kind of beer?
