Grit Behind the Art: My Journey with Perseverance

Hello everyone! I’ve been working through the Inner Development Goals course, and the strength that resonates most with me is Perseverance. As a creative writer and scriptwriter, I’ve learned that talent is only half the battle—the rest is just showing up and refusing to quit.

I don’t own a computer or a tablet; I manage all my professional writing, formatting, and digital projects entirely on my smartphone. There are days when the physical work of my daily life makes me want to put the phone down and just rest, but my dedication to my stories keeps me moving. Perseverance, to me, isn't about one giant leap; it’s about the small, consistent steps of writing one page or one poem at a time, even when the path is difficult. It’s what allowed me to reclaim my voice and define my world on my own terms.

Reflection Question for you: > What is a goal you are currently pursuing that requires a "never quit" attitude? How do you keep yourself motivated when you feel like you've run out of steam?

@Kindheart4u2

I'm motivated to simply find some joy and peace in my everyday life and routine.

It's hectic and unrelenting and most days, I put myself last.

I find perseverance for me is not simply pushing through at all costs, but balancing it out by asking yourself when are you giving up and when are you letting go, very different concepts! 💙🤗

My number1 goal is to have a healthier life- exercise and eat right, but I find it challenging. Its important as I have had health issues and its absolutely necessary to change my lifestyle

When I feel like I've completely run out of steam, the biggest challenge is avoiding total burnout. To keep myself motivated, I try to step back and focus on smaller milestones rather than looking at the entire mountain ahead of me, just taking it one task at a time.
