Self-Awareness - Realizing The Personality Within Me

Self-Awareness is a great way to discover the hidden potential in a person's personality and character.

for me, personally, self-awareness is like this awesome journey where you are, the lead character in the movie adaptation of your life. you are the hero/heroine and you get to shine, while discovering the full potential of your relationship to yourself.

your being, your identity, your likenesses, your tastes, your interests and your preferences. the relationship to one's own self. a journey that continues, where life coincides with decision making, adjustments and assessments. who are you? where have you come from? where are you going? really, you can ask yourself this every day in your life and you might, every day, come up with new answers and opinions.

the relationship to one's self - be curious and ask yourself:

1) what progress would you like to make in your life?

2) are you happy with who you are? if not, what steps can you take to make yourself happy in your own personal assessment of yourself?

3) do you have a vision or grasp of who you would like to be in your future, if this vision is something different of your current self?

4) are you goal oriented? or do you like to decision make on the fly?

5) in the never-ending learning process of life, what is your next classroom of study?

self-awareness, in my opinion, is a great way to be mindful, as in mindfulness of one's own being.

also, self-awareness should be something that you wish to take up, not something that you force upon yourself, as free willed self discovery is, again, a step in the act of being mindful.

the relationship to one's self - self improvement and self awareness

1) is there a long term or short term goal that you would like to make for yourself today? or do you have one previous to now?

2) is there something that you would like to learn, or a skill that you would like to take up, when given the opportunity to do so?

3) is there someone you consider a role model, someone that exemplifies characteristic traits that you would most definitely like to add to your repertoire?

4) when you ask yourself, "what in my life makes me happy?" do you have immediate answers to this query?

5) if someone were to ask you the question, "define happiness to the best of your ability?", would you be able to do so?

Self-Awareness is, once again, this awesome journey where you seek personal knowledge of who you are and what your personal goals are. self-actualization, the goal of being the best you possible, is not necessary. this would only detriment, or hold you back, from naturally being an awesome person!

Hi there! I love your explanation of self-awareness. I had never thought of it as a journey where we are the lead characters in the movie adaptation of our lives.

I feel like we often take ourselves for granted and miss the opportunity to ask what we truly are—what we like, what makes us happy, and what can trigger us. It’s essential to remind ourselves whether we are happy, if we are heading in the direction we want to go, and how we can steer ourselves toward the goals we’ve set. I believe self-awareness serves as a great motivation booster from the perspective you provided, and I really appreciate that insight.

Self-awareness is also crucial for setting boundaries and protecting ourselves from becoming overwhelmed. It’s okay to have limits, and self-awareness helps us recognize the boundaries we need to maintain our well-being. Overall, I see self-awareness as an essential self-care tool that motivates and protects us. Thank you for sharing your post here!💎
