Self reflection

First of all, let me define what self-reflection means to me. Self-reflection is reflecting on yourself, how you change to a better person,  what needs to change and the journey of becoming a better person.

Since I made a bad mistake in May, I have been doing a lot of reflecting and becoming a better person.   Through all this, some things came to light of things that I was not aware I needed to work on, that were not obvious until  I messed up, and some of it was trauma-based.

1 first of I need to be more aware of how I feel when stressful times happen and okay to step away. If the whole story was not being shared, do not try to help. That’s a big one.

2  one thing I realize, though all this is you never know how much something means to you until it’s taken away from you, and if you get a second chance to have it back, do everything in your power to keep it and do not use it again.

3 it may take for you to gain people's trust again, but work. Hard to gain trust back and show off how much you have changed.” Actions are bigger than words.”

After making a big mistake and self reflection what is your biggest take away ?

what does this quote  “ action are bigger than word”

@Heather225 thanks h for giving me a chance r to self reflection.  This might hardest thing I I ever had to do.

@Reachforthestars00 My biggest takeaway from self-reflection after making a mistake is that awareness is everything. You can’t fix what you don’t see. Sometimes it takes messing up to realize what actually needs to change. For me, it was learning how my actions affect other people, even when I don’t mean to hurt anyone. I also had to admit that just saying “I’ll do better” isn’t enough. People need to see it.

That’s what the quote “actions speak louder than words” means to me. You can say all the right things, but if your behavior doesn’t match, it doesn’t matter. People believe what you show them, not what you promise. If you want to make things right, it’s not about talking your way out of it. It’s about showing up differently and proving that you’ve changed through what you do, not just what you say.
