Collaborating
hello everybody!
I am AReine and i am happy today to share my opinion and my experience about a social skill that we need in collaborating with others. Which is communicating skill.
We can introduce this crucial skill as it goes beyond just speaking; it involves the ability to genuinely listen to others, foster authentic dialogue, skillfully advocate one's own views, constructively manage conflicts, and adapt communication to diverse groups.
This is why it is one of the keys to communicate and influence others successfully.
Some aspects of good communication i found in a book that a doctor who is my uncle gave me are:
- confidence while speaking
- being clear, specific
- speaking in an understandable way
- using full words(avoid abbreviations)
- explain each idea and let it take its time(don't hurry or be quick)
- make eye contact with the audience
With great communication others will believe in your words and start to interact with the topic .
For example: asking questions, sharing opinions ....
I personally tried many tiles to make a successful and beneficial using the skills mentioned and it actually worked.
That was during last month in one of our last english sessions. Our english teacher offered us to volunteer to present the next lesson which was about HUMAN IN THE FUTURE and i was chosen to present it.
It actually took me a lot of time to prepare the session. I didn't want to fail so i tried to make sure that i did everything and more.
I trained on the speeches and on how i will teach a lesson for the first time of my life for the whole class.
And i must admit that it wasn't an easy task. Seeing that we are in the PIONEER HIGH SCHOOL which means any small mistake will not be accepted.
Eventually and Thanks God i did my best and it was the most successful lesson.
Even the teacher himself said that my communication skills were high and that one of the best things i did was collaborating with students.
