Honesty and Justice as Foundations for Growth
If there is any virtue that has quietly informed the way I move through the world, it is justice the value of being fair to individuals, giving everyone an opportunity, and not letting my emotions get in the way of what I know is right. Right alongside of it is honesty, which has been a kind of guiding light for me. These two being honest and being fair have become the core of the way I try to live, even when itis difficult.
I wasn't always this way. Like all of us, I used to lie, be irresponsible, or take the path of least resistance as a child. But over time, that became a burden. It didn't feel right. I began to question further, wondering about who I wanted to become and what I wanted my impact to be.
What I've taken away is that integrity is not about being perfect it's about being consistent. It's being truthful when you're alone, courteous in your treatment of others, and doing what's right even when nobody is looking. And for me, it's also being honest and fair with myself bragging when I need to, and realizing when I've gotten better.
Eventually, I had to get serious about this. I listened to how I responded to things, how I treated others, and how I treated myself. I reduced the number of times I let fear or guilt move me. I began each day with: "Today, I will be honest. Today, I will be fair." Eventually, those reminders became me.
I used to define personal growth as fixing what's broken. But now I see it's also about building on what's good. For me, that's honesty and justice. They're the things I return to when life feels scary or unclear. They keep me thinking that even when outcomes aren't perfect, how I show up is still vital.

@softMagic3365 honesty, justice and fairness are all great traits to have 💖 the only time I tend to lie is when I'm feeling low and don't know how to reach out of just pretend I'm doing fine. Justice is one I'm all for, but to never take it into your own hands do it the proper way 💖 and fairness I try to keep the mindset of you don't know what anyone's going through or been through so always be kind and step away from drama💖

Seriously, the way you talked about integrity, not as some flawless thing, but more like, just showing up and doing your best over and over? Yeah, that’s real. Perfection’s a total myth anyway.
And honestly, being fair and honest? Sometimes it’s like, the universe is daring you to take the shortcut, but nah, it’s the long game that counts. No shortcuts to having a spine, right?
